Federal government asked to set up resting areas on highways in KP

To boost tourism as per Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Vision, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has sent a letter to the federal government to establish restaurants and service areas with all modern facilities on highways and roads leading to the tourist spots to facilitate visitors in the province.

The letter has also asked the federal government to install a proper monitoring system for the tourists on the national highways and entry routes to the scenic places to record the exact data of visitors.

It was told that the monitoring system installed at Modchi Darra in Nathiagali in the scenic Galiyat for recording entry of vehicles was functioning well and that such system should also be fixed on entry points in the tourist sites.

The federal government has also been asked that non-objection certificates should not be granted to those petrol pumps and CNG stations, which were not providing the required facilities to the tourists and passengers.

The letter said that filling stations, restaurants, and service areas should be established on national highways with all facilities, including washrooms, prayer and ablution places, canteen, tuck-shop, and potable water.

The Tourism Department under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Integrated Tourism Development Project (KITE) is installing 150 prefabricated washrooms on highways in Malakand and Hazara division to facilitate tourists.

وزیر اعظم عمران خان کے وژن کے مطابق سیاحت کو فروغ دینے کے لیے ، خیبر پختونخوا حکومت نے وفاقی حکومت کو خط بھیجا ہے کہ وہ شاہراہوں اور سڑکوں پر تمام جدید سہولیات کے ساتھ ریستوران اور سروس ایریاز قائم کرے تاکہ سیاحتی مقامات کو صوبے میں آنے والوں کی سہولت ہو۔

خط میں وفاقی حکومت سے یہ بھی کہا گیا ہے کہ وہ سیاحوں کے لیے قومی شاہراہوں اور داخلی راستوں پر سیاحوں کے لیے مناسب نگرانی کا نظام نصب کرے تاکہ زائرین کا درست ڈیٹا ریکارڈ کیا جا سکے۔

بتایا گیا کہ نتھیاگلی کے موڈچی درہ میں نصب کیا گیا مانیٹرنگ سسٹم گاڑیوں کے اندراج کی ریکارڈنگ کے لیے قدرتی گلیات میں اچھی طرح کام کر رہا ہے ، اور اس طرح کے نظام کو سیاحتی مقامات کے داخلی مقامات پر بھی مقرر کیا جانا چاہیے۔

وفاقی حکومت سے یہ بھی کہا گیا ہے کہ ان پٹرول پمپوں اور سی این جی اسٹیشنوں کو غیر اعتراض کے سرٹیفکیٹ نہ دیے جائیں ، جو سیاحوں اور مسافروں کو مطلوبہ سہولیات فراہم نہیں کر رہے تھے۔

مراسلے میں کہا گیا ہے کہ قومی شاہراہوں پر فلنگ اسٹیشن ، ریستوراں اور سروس ایریا قائم کیے جائیں جن میں واش روم ، نماز اور وضو کی جگہیں ، کینٹین ، ٹک شاپ اور پینے کے پانی سمیت تمام سہولیات ہوں۔

محکمہ سیاحت خیبر پختونخوا انٹیگریٹڈ ٹورزم ڈیولپمنٹ پروجیکٹ کے تحت مالاکنڈ اور ہزارہ ڈویژن میں شاہراہوں پر 150 پری فابریکٹڈ واش رومز نصب کر رہا ہے تاکہ سیاحوں کی سہولت ہو۔
