Faisalabad Master Plan 2021-2041 under consultative process

Faisalabad Development Authority Chairman Ch Latif Nazar and Director General Dr. Faisal Azim have explained that the Faisalabad Master Plan 2021-2041 is in draft shape yet which is not final and officially approved so far and is under consultative process.

They gave this explanation while talking to different stakeholders.  They cleared that no planning or commitment by anyone should be made on the basis of the proposed and unapproved draft of the Faisalabad Master Plan.  

They informed that the task of preparing the master plan had been entrusted to a private consultant company (Osmani & Co) during the year 2017 and it was supposed to be completed within one year, however, the concerned consultants conduct different surveys, did study and analysis for formulation of the master plan.

They maintained that the master plan had been sent to concerned departments and institutions without making it public for inviting proposals/suggestions/objections/complaints from stakeholders. They told that now the proposed draft of the master plan has been opened for seeking proposals/suggestions and objections from the general public and stakeholders.

They informed that the departmental eight members Master Plan Committee had been constituted which would submit its recommendations after reviewing the public proposals.  

Giving some details, the FDA Chairman and Director-General added that the consultative meetings had also been held with the representatives of Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, land developers/ builders, and their proposals had been sent to Consultant Company for consideration.

فیصل آباد ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹی کے چیئرمین چودھری لطیف نذر اور ڈائریکٹر جنرل ڈاکٹر فیصل عظیم نے وضاحت کی ہے کہ فیصل آباد ماسٹر پلان 2021-2041 ابھی تک مسودہ کی شکل میں ہے جو حتمی اور باضابطہ طور پر ابھی تک منظور شدہ نہیں ہے اور یہ مشاورتی عمل کے تحت ہے۔

انہوں نے یہ وضاحت مختلف سٹیک ہولڈرز سے بات چیت کرتے ہوئے دی۔ انہوں نے واضح کیا کہ فیصل آباد ماسٹر پلان کے مجوزہ اور غیر منظور شدہ مسودے کی بنیاد پر کسی کی طرف سے کوئی منصوبہ بندی یا عزم نہیں کیا جانا چاہیے۔

انہوں نے بتایا کہ ماسٹر پلان کی تیاری کا کام سال 2017 کے دوران نجی کنسلٹنٹ کمپنی (عثمانی اینڈ کمپنی) کو سونپا گیا تھا اور اسے ایک سال کے اندر مکمل ہونا تھا ، تاہم متعلقہ کنسلٹنٹس نے مختلف سروے کیے ، مطالعہ کیا اور تجزیہ کیا ماسٹر پلان بنانے کے لیے-

انہوں نے برقرار رکھا کہ ماسٹر پلان متعلقہ محکموں اور اداروں کو بھیجا گیا تھا بغیر اس کے کہ وہ اسٹیک ہولڈرز سے تجاویز/تجاویز/اعتراضات/شکایات طلب کرے۔ انہوں نے بتایا کہ اب ماسٹر پلان کا مجوزہ مسودہ عام لوگوں اور سٹیک ہولڈرز سے تجاویز/تجاویز اور اعتراضات مانگنے کے لیے کھول دیا گیا ہے۔

انہوں نے بتایا کہ ڈیپارٹمنٹل آٹھ رکنی ماسٹر پلان کمیٹی تشکیل دی گئی ہے جو عوامی تجاویز کا جائزہ لینے کے بعد اپنی سفارشات پیش کرے گی۔

کچھ تفصیلات دیتے ہوئے ، ایف ڈی اے کے چیئرمین اور ڈائریکٹر جنرل نے مزید کہا کہ فیصل آباد چیمبر آف کامرس اینڈ انڈسٹری کے نمائندوں ، لینڈ ڈویلپرز/ بلڈرز کے ساتھ مشاورتی ملاقاتیں بھی ہوئی ہیں اور ان کی تجاویز غور کے لیے کنسلٹنٹ کمپنی کو بھیج دی گئی ہیں۔
