ISLAMABAD: According to authorities with the Capital Development Authority (CDA), clearing and grubbing work along the construction site has already begun on the project to expand the seven-kilometer section of the Expressway from PWD to Grand Trunk (G.T.) Road. (Reported by news source)
Frontier Works Organization (FWO), will begin widening the busy artery after the clearing and grubbing, which should be finished in two weeks.
For the purpose of converting the existing two-lane section of the Expressway, which spans seven kilometres, to four lanes, the CDA board accepted an offer of around Rs11 billion from the FWO. The Bindar bridge, the underpass on the Japan Road, and the enlargement of the Sohan bridge are also included in this project. The project's PC-I predicts that it will be finished in 18 months.
Before beginning the initial work, the contractor put up a camp office and mobilized its equipment.

ایکسپریس وے کے موجودہ دو لین والے حصے کو، جو سات کلومیٹر پر محیط ہے، کو چار لین میں تبدیل کرنے کے مقصد کے لیے، سی ڈی اے بورڈ نے ایف ڈبلیو او کی جانب سے تقریباً 11 ارب روپے کی پیشکش قبول کی۔ بندر پل، جاپان روڈ پر انڈر پاس اور سوہان پل کی توسیع بھی اس منصوبے میں شامل ہے۔ پروجیکٹ کے PC-I نے پیش گوئی کی ہے کہ یہ 18 ماہ میں مکمل ہو جائے گا۔
ابتدائی کام شروع کرنے سے پہلے، ٹھیکیدار نے ایک کیمپ آفس لگایا اور اس کے آلات کو متحرک کیا۔
