Entry And Exit Passageways Of The Motorways To Housing Societies Likely To Face A Ban

The ban has been sought due to an increasing number of illegal societies which have been set within the four districts of Rawalpindi. A survey revealed that currently 318 private housing societies have been set up in the Rawalpindi District alone. The societies have already sold thousands of properties to unsuspecting investors however they will not receive the possession of their plots due to the societies being unapproved.

The ministry also sought a ban on the applications of the owners of the private housing societies so they would not be entertained when seeking the entry and exit passageways to M-I and M-II.

These private housing societies are capable of swallowing the green areas within the Potohar region. This would further worsen the current situation since illegal housing societies had already been reducing the green regions within the twin cities. They are also responsible for creating unnecessary traffic jams on the main arteries of the motorway.

راولپنڈی کے چاروں اضلاع میں قائم غیر قانونی سوسائٹیز کی بڑھتی ہوئی تعداد کے باعث پابندی کا مطالبہ کیا گیا ہے۔ سروے میں یہ بات سامنے آئی ہے کہ اس وقت صرف راولپنڈی ضلع میں 318 پرائیویٹ ہاؤسنگ سوسائٹیز قائم ہیں۔ سوسائٹیاں پہلے ہی ہزاروں جائیدادیں غیر مشکوک سرمایہ کاروں کو فروخت کر چکی ہیں تاہم سوسائٹیز کے غیر منظور شدہ ہونے کی وجہ سے انہیں ان کے پلاٹوں کا قبضہ نہیں ملے گا۔
وزارت نے پرائیویٹ ہاؤسنگ سوسائٹیز کے مالکان کی درخواستوں پر پابندی لگانے کا بھی مطالبہ کیا تاکہ وہ ایم-1 اور ایم-2 کے داخلی اور خارجی راستوں کو استعمال نہ کر سکیں۔
یہ پرائیویٹ ہاؤسنگ سوسائٹیاں پوٹھوہار کے علاقے کے سر سبز علاقوں کو نگلنے کی صلاحیت رکھتی ہیں۔ اس سے موجودہ صورتحال مزید خراب ہو جائے گی کیونکہ غیر قانونی ہاؤسنگ سوسائٹیاں پہلے ہی جڑواں شہروں کے اندر گرین ریجنز کو کم کر رہی تھیں۔ وہ موٹروے کی مرکزی شریانوں پر غیر ضروری ٹریفک جام پیدا کرنے کے بھی ذمہ دار ہیں۔
