Ehsaas Nashonuma programme distributes Rs114m among beneficiaries

A total amount of Rs114 million has been disbursed among the beneficiaries under the ‘Ehsaas Nashonuma’ Conditional Cash Transfer Programme during the Financial Year 2020-21.

According to an official source, a total amount of Rs113,939,500 has been disbursed among the beneficiaries during the period. A total of 44,390 payments have been made to the mothers while 36,675 mothers have been benefited through this initiative, the source revealed.

The ‘Ehsaas Nashonuma’ is a health and nutrition conditional cash transfer program, which aims at addressing stunting in children under 23 months of age. Around 40 percent of children in Pakistan suffered from stunting due to malnutrition and other reasons which deprived them of their natural height and mental capacity.

The ‘Nashonuma’ program, which included cash stipends, vaccinations, nutritional food packs, and health-related training courses for pregnant and lactating mothers, is aimed at controlling stunted growth in children.

The pregnant and lactating mothers as well as their weak children registered with this program through ‘Nashonuma’ centers established at various districts across the country are provided supplementary food packets.

The staff at the centers also checks the weight, height, and health of the mothers and children in a detailed check-up to check if they face stunting issues or not.

The ratio of quarterly stipends of the girl child had been kept higher than the boys under the ‘Nashonuma’ program.

مالی سال 2020-21 کے دوران 'احساس ناشونوما' مشروط کیش ٹرانسفر پروگرام کے تحت مستحقین میں مجموعی طور پر 114 ملین روپے تقسیم کیے گئے ہیں۔

ایک سرکاری ذریعہ کے مطابق ، اس مدت کے دوران مستحقین میں مجموعی طور پر 113،939،500 روپے کی رقم تقسیم کی گئی ہے۔ ذرائع نے انکشاف کیا کہ ماؤں کو مجموعی طور پر 44،390 ادائیگیاں کی گئی ہیں جبکہ 36،675 ماؤں کو اس اقدام سے فائدہ پہنچایا گیا ہے۔

'احساس ناشونوما' ایک صحت اور غذائیت کا مشروط کیش ٹرانسفر پروگرام ہے ، جس کا مقصد 23 ماہ سے کم عمر کے بچوں میں اسٹنٹنگ سے نمٹنا ہے۔ پاکستان میں تقریبا 40 40 فیصد بچے غذائی قلت اور دیگر وجوہات کی وجہ سے سٹنٹنگ کا شکار ہوئے جس کی وجہ سے وہ ان کی قدرتی بلندی اور ذہنی صلاحیت سے محروم ہو گئے۔

'نیشونوما' پروگرام ، جس میں نقد وظیفہ ، ویکسینیشن ، غذائیت کے فوڈ پیک اور حاملہ اور دودھ پلانے والی ماؤں کے لیے صحت سے متعلق تربیتی کورس شامل ہیں ، کا مقصد بچوں میں رکی ہوئی ترقی کو کنٹرول کرنا ہے۔

حاملہ اور دودھ پلانے والی ماؤں کے ساتھ ساتھ ان کے کمزور بچوں کو ملک بھر کے مختلف اضلاع میں قائم 'ناشونوما' مراکز کے ذریعے اس پروگرام میں رجسٹرڈ کیا گیا ہے۔

مراکز کا عملہ ماؤں اور بچوں کے وزن ، اونچائی اور صحت کو بھی چیک کرتا ہے تاکہ چیک کیا جا سکے کہ انہیں اسٹنٹنگ کا مسئلہ درپیش ہے یا نہیں۔

لڑکیوں کے سہ ماہی وظیفے کا تناسب 'ناشونوما' پروگرام کے تحت لڑکوں کے مقابلے میں زیادہ رکھا گیا تھا۔
