ECNEC approves Rs. 332 billion development projects

Projects are approved with a huge budget for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to improve the availability of resources, Utilization, and quality of primary healthcare services for every citizen, and for every district of the province.

The projects would cover a local population of about 8.4 million, besides 500,000 refugees.

The land worth Rs  20 billion will be purchased for the construction of Swat Motorway phase-II. It involves the construction of about 80km of four-lane motorway from Chakdara to Fatehpur.

The committee approved the project and recommended the completion of such projects on a public-private partnership basis.

ECNEC also approved the construction of an additional two-lane and restoration of the existing two-lane carriageway of the Shikarpur-Rajanpur section of the Indus Highway (N-55) to be executed by the National Highway Authority worth Rs44.704billion, including Rs40.234 billion funding from the Asian Development Bank and Rs4.47 billion from the federal government.

The Rs25.552 billion Greater Karachi Water Supply Scheme Phase I was also approved by ECNEC for additional water supply to Karachi.

The meeting also approved Rs46.98 billion worth of NaiGaj Dam Project for Dadu district, to be executive by Wapda and the Irrigation Department of Sindh.

Another project approved in the meeting is the construction of a 69-km-long Sambrial-Kharian Motor­way with an estimated cost of Rs43.383 billion. It will be a high-speed toll road facility that will start from Sambrial city and end at Lahore-Sialkot Motorway.

The meeting also approved another project worth Rs14.75 billion worth of Baluchistan Integrated Water Resources Management and Development Project.

اسلام آباد: وزیر خزانہ ڈی آر عبد الحفیظ شیخ کی زیرصدارت قومی اقتصادی کونسل (ایکنیک) کی ایگزیکٹو کمیٹی کا اجلاس ہوا جس میں 13 بڑے ترقیاتی منصوبوں کی مالیت 3222.44 ارب روپے کے بجٹ کی منظوری دی گئی۔ ان منصوبوں کو آئندہ چند سالوں میں عملی جامہ پہنایا جائے گا۔

صوبوں کے وسائل کی دستیابی ، ہر شہری اور صوبے کے ہر ضلع کے لئے بنیادی سہولیات کی سہولیات کی فراہمی ، معیار اور معیار کو بہتر بنانے کے لئے منصوبوں کو ایک بہت بڑا بجٹ کے ساتھ منظور کیا گیا ہے۔

ان منصوبوں میں 500،000 مہاجرین کے علاوہ تقریبا 8 8.4 ملین افراد کی مقامی آبادی شامل ہوگی۔

سوات موٹروے فیز۔ II کی تعمیر کے لئے 20 ارب روپے کی اراضی خریدی جائے گی۔ اس میں چکدرہ سے فتح پور تک تقریبا 80 کلومیٹر چار لین موٹر وے کی تعمیر شامل ہے۔

کمیٹی نے اس منصوبے کی منظوری دی اور سرکاری نجی شراکت داری کی بنیاد پر ایسے منصوبوں کو مکمل کرنے کی سفارش کی۔

ای سی این ای سی نے انڈس ہائی وے (این۔ 55) کے شکارپور۔ راجن پور سیکشن کے اضافی دو لین کیریج وے کی تعمیر اور بحالی کیمنظوری بھی دی ، جس پر قومی شاہراہ اتھارٹی کے ذریعہ عملدرآمد کیا جائے گا ، جس پر 4444.7 ارب روپے لاگت آئے گی۔ ایشین ڈویلپمنٹ بینک کی مالی اعانت اور وفاقی حکومت کی طرف سے 4.47 ارب روپے۔

ای سی این ای سی نے کراچی کو اضافی پانی کی فراہمی کے لئے 25.552 ارب روپے کی گریٹر کراچی واٹر سپلائی سکیم فیز 1 کی منظوری بھی دے دی۔

اجلاس میں دادو ضلع کے لئے نائی گاج ڈیم پروجیکٹ کے 46.998 ارب روپے کی لاگت کو واپڈا اور محکمہ آبپاشی سندھ کے ذریعہ ایگزیکٹو بنانے کی بھی منظوری دی گئی۔
