Islamabad: Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Syed Shabbar Zaidi on Sunday announced that the Dubai Land Department has agreed to share details of Pakistanis owning property in the UAE. The development came after several meetings regarding exchange of information between the two countries.
Chairman FBR Zaidi also revealed that the flow of information would be quick and it would provide significant help in tackling the iqama issues. He also mentioned that over USD 6 Billion have been siphoned out of the country and this outflow of money needs to be dealt with seriously. “The government is also appealing to other countries to take this matter seriously as this will help curb the practice of money laundering and tax evasions.”
