Drone cameras to be used for security purpose at Margalla Hills National Park

Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Qazi Jamil ur Rehman after reviewing the security arrangements at hiking points including Trail-III and V stated this here on Wednesday.

Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations) Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanveer and senior police officials were also present on the occasion.

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP) directed the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) (Operations) to ensure the security of hikers through the special deployment of policemen at these points while drone security cameras should also be used for their safety.

In case any person forgets the way at trial, he/she should be monitored or searched through drone cameras and safe return to be ensured.

The SSP (Operations) said immediate compliance on IGP's directions would be ensured and deployment would be made after coordination with Wildlife Management Board for a prompt response.

He said lady policemen would also be deployed for the guidance of female hikers and all-out efforts to be made for a safe environment of citizens.

انسپکٹر جنرل آف پولیس (آئی جی پی) اسلام آباد ، قاضی جمیل الرحمن نے ٹریل III اور V سمیت پیدل سفر کے مقامات پر سیکورٹی انتظامات کا جائزہ لینے کے بعد یہ بات بدھ کو یہاں بتائی۔

اس موقع پر سینئر سپرنٹنڈنٹ آف پولیس (آپریشنز) ڈاکٹر سید مصطفیٰ تنویر اور سینئر پولیس حکام بھی موجود تھے۔

انسپکٹر جنرل آف پولیس (آئی جی پی) نے سینئر سپرنٹنڈنٹ آف پولیس (ایس ایس پی) (آپریشنز) کو ہدایت کی کہ وہ ان مقامات پر پولیس اہلکاروں کی خصوصی تعیناتی کے ذریعے ہائیکرز کی حفاظت کو یقینی بنائیں جبکہ ڈرون سیکورٹی کیمرے بھی ان کی حفاظت کے لیے استعمال کیے جائیں۔

اگر کوئی شخص پگڈنڈی میں راستہ بھول جائے تو اس کی نگرانی کی جائے یا اسے ڈرون کیمروں کے ذریعے تلاش کیا جائے اور محفوظ واپسی کو یقینی بنایا جائے۔
ایس ایس پی (آپریشنز) نے کہا کہ آئی جی پی کی ہدایات پر فوری تعمیل کو یقینی بنایا جائے گا اور فوری جواب کے لیے وائلڈ لائف مینجمنٹ بورڈ سے رابطہ کے بعد تعیناتی کی جائے گی۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ خواتین ہائیکرز کی رہنمائی اور شہریوں کے محفوظ ماحول کے لیے ہر ممکن کوششوں کے لیے لیڈی پولیس اہلکار بھی تعینات کی جائیں گی۔
