Development projects: P3A board approves proposals

According to the news sources, The Public-Private Partnership Authority (P3A) board has approved the development project proposals for the construction of Sukkur-Hyderabad Motorway (M6), Kharian-Rawalpindi Motorway (KRM), and Project Development Facility (PDF) Regulations, 2022, on Public-Private Partnership (PPP) basis.

The board well-thought-out the construction of the Sukkur-Hyderabad Motorway M6 project proposal of the successful bidder, which had demanded provision of capital Viability Gap Funding (VGF) amounting to Rs9.5 billion only.

According to the details the meeting presided over by Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission Mohammad Jehanzeb Khan approved the proposal for construction of the Sukkur-Hyderabad Motorway (M6) with the provision of capital Viability Gap Funding (VGF) amounting to Rs9.5bn as demanded by the successful bidder.

According to the news source, the project was approved in a meeting chaired by Deputy Chairman Dr. Mohammad Jahanzeb Khan, which was attended by Secretary Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, Abdul Aziz Uqaili, Additional Secretary Finance Division, Imamdullah Bosal, members of Private Sector Development, Asim Saeed, Akbar Ayub Khan, and Huma Ejaz Zaman were among the participants of the meeting.

خبر رساں ذرائع کے مطابق پبلک پرائیویٹ پارٹنرشپ اتھارٹی (پی3اے) بورڈ نے سکھر حیدرآباد موٹروے (ایم 6)، کھاریاں-راولپنڈی موٹروے (کے آر ایم) کی تعمیر اور پراجیکٹ ڈویلپمنٹ فیسیلٹی (پی ڈی ایف) ریگولیشنز کے ترقیاتی منصوبے کی تجاویز کی منظوری دے دی ہے۔ 2022، پبلک پرائیویٹ پارٹنرشپ (پی پی پی) کی بنیاد پر۔
بورڈ نے سکھر-حیدرآباد موٹر وے ایم 6 کی تعمیر پر کامیاب بولی دہندہ کی تجویز پر غور کیا، جس نے صرف 9.5 بلین روپے کی کیپٹل وائبلٹی گیپ فنڈنگ (وی جی ایف) کی فراہمی کا مطالبہ کیا تھا۔
تفصیلات کے مطابق پلاننگ کمیشن کے ڈپٹی چیئرمین محمد جہانزیب خان کی زیر صدارت اجلاس میں سکھر حیدرآباد موٹر وے (ایم 6) کی تعمیر کی تجویز کی منظوری دی گئی جس میں کیپٹل وائبلٹی گیپ فنڈنگ (وی جی ایف) کی مد میں 9.5 ارب روپے کا مطالبہ کیا گیا تھا .
نیوز سورس کے مطابق اس منصوبے کی منظوری ڈپٹی چیئرمین ڈاکٹر محمد جہانزیب خان کی زیر صدارت اجلاس میں دی گئی جس میں سیکرٹری منصوبہ بندی، ترقی و خصوصی اقدامات عبدالعزیز عقیلی، ایڈیشنل سیکرٹری فنانس ڈویژن امام اللہ بوسال، پرائیویٹ سیکٹر کے اراکین نے شرکت کی۔ ترقی، عاصم سعید، اکبر ایوب خان، اور ہما اعجاز زمان اجلاس کے شرکاء میں شامل تھے۔
