Development authorities asked to complete master plans soon

Provincial Minister for Housing & Urban Development Malik Asad Ali Khokhar has directed all the development authorities in Punjab to complete their master plans within the stipulated time frame and remain focused on development activities.

He was presiding over a meeting of development authorities in the committee room of the Housing Department to review their performance. Additional Secretary Umer Farooq and Director Generals of development authorities belonging to Bahawalpur, DG Khan, Koh-e-Sulaiman, Multan, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Rawalpindi, and Gujranwala attended the meeting.

The minister was directed to meet the revenue targets of the development authorities besides presenting the data about the last three years' revenue collection.

The minister further directed to take stern action against illegal housing societies and devising strategies for better land management, urban planning, and resolving traffic engineering issues in their respective jurisdiction.

He appreciated the work of the Gujranwala Development Authority and lauded their efforts for achieving the revenue collection targets of more than 300 percent.

صوبائی وزیر ہاؤسنگ اینڈ اربن ڈویلپمنٹ ملک اسد علی کھوکھر نے پنجاب کے تمام ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹیز کو ہدایت کی ہے کہ وہ اپنے ماسٹر پلانز کو مقررہ وقت کے اندر مکمل کریں اور ترقیاتی سرگرمیوں پر توجہ مرکوز رکھیں۔

وہ محکمہ ہاؤسنگ کے کمیٹی روم میں ترقیاتی حکام کے اجلاس کی صدارت کر رہے تھے ت��کہ ان کی کارکردگی کا جائزہ لیا جا سکے۔ ایڈیشنل سیکرٹری عمر فاروق اور بہاولپور ، ڈی جی خان ، کوہ سلیمان ، ملتان ، فیصل آباد ، سرگودھا ، راولپنڈی اور گوجرانوالہ سے تعلق رکھنے والے ترقیاتی حکام کے ڈائریکٹر جنرلز نے اجلاس میں شرکت کی۔

وزیر نے ترقیاتی حکام کے محصولات کے اہداف کو پورا کرنے کے علاوہ گزشتہ تین سالوں کے محصولات کی وصولی کے اعداد و شمار پیش کرنے کی ہدایت کی۔

وزیر نے مزید ہدایت کی کہ غیر قانونی ہاؤسنگ سوسائٹیز کے خلاف سخت کارروائی کی جائے اور بہتر زمین کے انتظام ، شہری منصوبہ بندی اور ٹریفک انجینئرنگ کے مسائل کو اپنے اپنے دائرہ اختیار میں حل کرنے کے لیے حکمت عملی وضع کی جائے۔

انہوں نے گوجرانوالہ ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹی کے کام کو سراہا اور 300 فیصد سے زائد محصولات وصول کرنے کے اہداف کے حصول کے لیے ان کی کوششوں کو سراہا۔
