Decision taken to make Mall Road signal free

The CTO said the signal-free project would help ease traffic congestion on Mall Road.

According to sources, preliminary work has started on the Mall Road Signal Free Project. After the feasibility report of the traffic police, the concerned agencies have started working on it.

CTO Montazer Mehdi said that four U-turns will be made on the Mall Road for the signal-free project, the intersections crossing the Mall Road will be completely closed.

 Citizens will be able to take the U-turn and cross Mall Road. The service lane from High Court Chowk to the Governor's House will also be used for traffic.

It should be noted that Mall Road Lahore has historical and cultural significance. There are many buildings located here that are examples of Mughal style architecture. There are also buildings built during the British imperial era which were built during the British era and are still in use.

Decorated with monuments of different periods, this highway is undoubtedly a witness to history. Museum, Lahore Zoo, Punjab Provincial Assembly, Kurban Lines (Police), Aitchison College are located on Mall Road.

سی ٹی او نے کہا کہ سگنل فری پروجیکٹ مال روڈ پر ٹریفک کی آمدورفت کو کم کرنے میں مدد دے گا۔

ذرائع کے مطابق مال روڈ سگنل فری پروجیکٹ پر ابتدائی کام شروع ہوچکا ہے۔ ٹریفک پولیس کی فزیبلٹی رپورٹ کے بعد ، متعلقہ اداروں نے اس پر کام شروع کردیا ہے۔

سی ٹی او مونٹازر مہدی نے بتایا کہ مال روڈ پر سگنل فری پروجیکٹ کے لئے چار یو ٹرنس بنائے جائیں گے ، مال روڈ کو عبور کرنے والے چوراہے مکمل طور پر بند ہوں گے۔

شہری یو ٹرن لے کر مال روڈ کو عبور کرسکیں گے۔ ہائی کورٹ چوک سے گورنر ہاؤس جانے والی سروس لین بھی ٹریفک کے لئے استعمال ہوگی۔

واضح رہے کہ مال روڈ لاہور کی تاریخی اور ثقافتی اہمیت ہے۔ یہاں بہت ساری عمارتیں واقع ہیں جو مغل طرز کے فن تعمیر کی مثال ہیں۔ یہاں برطانوی شاہی دور کے دوران تعمیر شدہ عمارتیں بھی موجود ہیں جو برطانوی دور کے دوران تعمیر کی گئیں اور اب بھی استعمال میں ہیں۔

مختلف ادوار کی یادگاروں سے آراستہ یہ شاہراہ بلا شبہ تاریخ کی گواہ ہے۔ میوزیم ، لاہور چڑیا گھر ، پنجاب صوبائی اسمبلی ، کربان لائنز (پولیس) ، ایچی سن کالج مال روڈ پر واقع ہے۔
