CPEC projects key to strengthen Pak-China ties: CM Buzdar

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has said the completion of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects in Punjab will give further impetus to Pakistan-China relations.

The Punjab government was thankful to China for extending cooperation on CPEC projects in the province and it was sanguine that Pakistan-China relations were touching new heights in the tenure of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Chief Minister Usman Buzdar said this while addressing the joint cooperation committee meeting under CPEC Authority through a video link on Thursday. Punjab had the highest share in national GDP, he pointed out and invited the Chinese investors to the province saying a conducive environment was provided.

The Chinese investors will be provided every facility for setting up industry and special incentives will be provided to them, he added.

While giving updates about CPEC related projects in the province, the CM informed the participants that special economic zone Allama Iqbal Industrial City had been operationalized in Faisalabad while 1050 acres of land had been earmarked for China zone in it and land lease policy was being given final shape for the benefit for Chinese investors, the CM said.

He announced to welcome Chinese assistance for establishing Pak zones free from foot and mouth disease of animals in Punjab and pointed out that the agriculture sector had a lot of growth potential in CPEC phase-II.

He thanked the experts assisting in social-economic projects which were shared with the Chinese experts’ team for their feedback.

لاہور: وزیراعلیٰ پنجاب عثمان بزدار نے کہا کہ پنجاب میں سی پیک منصوبوں سے پاکستان اور چین کے درمیان تعلقات کو مضبوط بنانے میں مدد ملے گی۔

وزیراعلیٰ پنجاب سردار عثمان بزدار نے کہا ہے کہ پنجاب میں چین پاکستان اقتصادی راہداری (CPEC) منصوبوں کی تکمیل سے پاک چین تعلقات کو مزید تقویت ملے گی۔

پنجاب حکومت نے صوبے میں سی پیک منصوبوں پر تعاون بڑھانے پر چین کا شکریہ ادا کیا اور یہ بات درست ہے کہ وزیراعظم عمران خان کے دور میں پاک چین تعلقات نئی بلندیوں کو چھو رہے ہیں۔

وزیراعلیٰ عثمان بزدار نے یہ بات جمعرات کو ویڈیو لنک کے ذریعے سی پیک اتھارٹی کے تحت مشترکہ تعاون کمیٹی کے اجلاس سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے کہی۔ قومی جی ڈی پی میں پنجاب کا حصہ سب سے زیادہ ہے ، انہوں نے چینی سرمایہ کاروں کو صوبے میں مدعو کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ سازگار ماحول فراہم کیا گیا ہے۔

انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ چینی سرمایہ کاروں کو صنعت کے قیام کے لیے ہر سہولت فراہم کی جائے گی اور انہیں خصوصی مراعات فراہم کی جائیں گی۔

صوبے میں سی پیک سے متعلقہ منصوبوں کے بارے میں اپ ڈیٹس دیتے ہوئے ، وزیراعلیٰ نے شرکاء کو بتایا کہ فیصل آباد میں خصوصی اقتصادی زون علامہ اقبال انڈسٹریل سٹی کو فعال کیا گیا ہے جبکہ اس میں چائنا زون کے لیے 1050 ایکڑ اراضی مختص کی گئی ہے اور لینڈ لیز پالیسی کو حتمی شکل دی جا رہی ہے۔

انہوں نے پنجاب میں جانوروں کے پاؤں اور منہ کی بیماری سے پاک زونز کے قیام کے لیے چینی امداد کا خیرمقدم کرنے کا اعلان کیا اور بتایا کہ سی پیک کے مرحلے II میں زراعت کے شعبے میں بہت زیادہ ترقی کے امکانات ہیں۔

انہوں نے سماجی معاشی منصوبوں میں مدد کرنے والے ماہرین کا شکریہ ادا کیا جو کہ چینی ماہرین کی ٹیم کے ساتھ ان کے تاثرات کے لیے شیئر کیے گئے۔
