Country’s furniture exports increase in five months

According to the news sources, Pakistan Furniture Council (PFC) Chief Executive Officer Mian Kashif Ashfaq Sunday said Pakistan’s furniture exports registered an astronomical 206.05 percent increase during the first five months of the current fiscal year, compared to the corresponding period of the last year.

According to the details, He said during the period under review, furniture worth US$ 3645 million was exported and $1191 million compared to the corresponding period of last year. The furniture industry has big potential to dominate global markets with innovative designs and could significantly contribute to exports. However, a package of incentives and facilitation was direly needed for boosting exports, he added.

According to the details, he added that if the government extended full support, the volume of furniture exports could touch the figure of $5 billion for the next five years. He hoped that under the leadership of PM Imran Khan, the furniture sector would grow and flourish in the coming days.

نیوز ذرائع کے مطابق پاکستان فرنیچر کونسل (پی ایف سی) کے چیف ایگزیکٹو آفیسر میاں کاشف اشفاق نے اتوار کو کہا کہ پاکستان کی فرنیچر کی برآمدات میں روا�� مالی سال کے پہلے پانچ ماہ کے دوران گزشتہ سال کی اسی مدت کے مقابلے میں 206.05 فیصد اضافہ ریکارڈ کیا گیا ہے۔
تفصیلات کے مطابق انہوں نے کہا کہ زیر جائزہ مدت کے دوران گزشتہ سال کے اسی عرصے کے مقابلے میں 3645 ملین امریکی ڈالر مالیت کا فرنیچر برآمد کیا گیا اور 1191 ملین ڈالر کا فرنیچر برآمد کیا گیا۔ فرنیچر کی صنعت میں جدید ڈیزائن کے ساتھ عالمی منڈیوں پر غلبہ حاصل کرنے کی بڑی صلاحیت ہے اور یہ برآمدات میں نمایاں طور پر حصہ ڈال سکتی ہے۔ تاہم، انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ برآمدات کو بڑھانے کے لیے مراعات اور سہولت کے پیکج کی اشد ضرورت تھی۔
تفصیلات کے مطابق انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ اگر حکومت بھرپور تعاون کرے تو اگلے پانچ سالوں میں فرنیچر کی برآمدات کا حجم 5 ارب ڈالر تک پہنچ سکتا ہے۔ انہوں نے امید ظاہر کی کہ وزیراعظم عمران خان کی قیادت میں آنے والے دنوں میں فرنیچر کا شعبہ ترقی کرے گا۔
