Contractors warned against delay in completion of projects

According to the news sources, an open forum was organized by the district administration at the district council hall here on Tuesday. During the event, Additional Deputy Commissioner Nazma Shaheen said that,

“We will never tolerate delay in the completion of the development projects and contractors who couldn’t complete the development schemes would be taken to justice under the relevant laws,”

According to the news sources, the people from different walks of life attended the forum and apprised Shaheen of the various schemes, which couldn’t be completed despite the release of the funds. She ordered the heads of the civic agencies to submit a complete report of schemes/ projects which couldn’t be completed in time.

Some of the complaints also raised issues related to encroachments on different roads and streets, which according to them were hurdles in the smooth traffic flow.

نیوز ذرائع کے مطابق ضلعی انتظامیہ کی جانب سے منگل کو یہاں ضلع کونسل ہال میں ایک اوپن فورم کا انعقاد کیا گیا۔ تقریب کے دوران ایڈیشنل ڈپٹی کمشنر ناظمہ شاہین نے کہا کہ
ہم ترقیاتی منصوبوں کی تکمیل میں تاخیر ہرگز برداشت نہیں کریں گے اور ترقیاتی سکیمیں مکمل نہ کرنے والے ٹھیکیداروں کو متعلقہ قوانین کے تحت انصاف کے کٹہرے میں لایا جائے گا۔
نیوز ذرائع کے مطابق فورم میں زندگی کے مختلف شعبوں سے تعلق رکھنے والے افراد نے شرکت کی اور شاہینوں کو مختلف سکیموں سے آگاہ کیا جو کہ فنڈز جاری ہونے کے باوجود مکمل نہ ہو سکیں۔ انہوں نے شہری ایجنسیوں کے سربراہوں کو حکم دیا کہ وہ ان سکیموں/ منصوبوں کی مکمل رپورٹ پیش کریں جو وقت پر مکمل نہیں ہو سکیں۔
کچھ شکایات میں مختلف سڑکوں اور گلیوں میں تجاوزات سے متعلق مسائل بھی اٹھائے گئے جو کہ ان کے مطابق ٹریفک کی روانی میں رکاوٹ ہیں۔
