Construction of Bhara Kahu Bypass to initiate in November: SAPM Ali Nawaz

This was stated by Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Capital Development Authority (CDA) Affairs Ali Nawaz Awan while addressing a public meeting at Bhara Kahu.

He said the project was expected to be completed in two years that would ease the growing congestion as traffic gridlocks have become a routine in the Bhara Kahu area of Murree Road. 

The area faces a lot of traffic especially on the weekends when tourists head towards Murree and Kashmir, he added. He said the project was the need of the hour not only for Islamabad residents but also for people from Murree and Kashmir.

The SAPM said the Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaaf after coming into power has started over a dozen mega development projects to remove the sense of deprivation among the federal capital dwellers. 

Taking a jibe over PML-N, he said this party was based on hypocrisy as its leadership always adopted dual standards in every field of life. 

He said the PML-N had always used the national institutions for its own purposes and damaged their integrity to protect its leadership’s personal interests.

He said the PML-N was disintegrated as everyone could see a visible rift within the party ranks.

Ali Nawaz said inflation had made a global phenomenon after COVID-19, adding the government was making all-out efforts to control the inflation and provide relief to the common people.

SAPM said the prices of petroleum products and sugar were still less in Pakistan as compared to other countries, adding that the petroleum products’ prices were linked with the international market.

انہوں نے کہا کہ یہ منصوبہ دو سال تک مکمل ہونے کی توقع ہے جس سے بڑھتی ہوئی بھیڑ میں کمی آئے گی کیونکہ مری روڈ کے علاقے بہارہ کہو میں ٹریفک کی رکاوٹیں معمول بن چکی ہیں۔

انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ اس علاقے کو خاص طور پر اختتام ہفتہ پر جب سیاح مری اور کشمیر کی طرف جاتے ہیں تو بہت زیادہ ٹریفک کا سامنا کرنا پڑتا ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ یہ منصوبہ نہ صرف اسلام آباد کے رہائشیوں بلکہ مری اور کشمیر کے لوگوں کے لیے بھی وقت کی ضرورت ہے۔

ایس اے پی ایم نے کہا کہ پاکستان تحریک انصاف نے اقتدار میں آنے کے بعد وفاقی دارالحکومت کے باسیوں میں احساس محرومی دور کرنے کے لیے ایک درجن سے زائد میگا ترقیاتی منصوبے شروع کیے ہیں۔

مسلم لیگ ن پر طنز کرتے ہوئے انہوں نے کہا کہ یہ جماعت منافقت پر مبنی ہے کیونکہ اس کی قیادت نے ہمیشہ زندگی کے ہر شعبے میں دوہرا معیار اپنایا۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ ن لیگ نے ہمیشہ قومی اداروں کو اپنے مقاصد کے لیے استعمال کیا اور اپنی قیادت کے ذاتی مفادات کے تحفظ کے لیے ان کی سالمیت کو نقصان پہنچایا۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ مسلم لیگ ن ٹوٹ پھوٹ کا شکار ہو چکی ہے کیونکہ ہر کوئی پارٹی صفوں میں واضح دراڑ دیکھ سکتا ہے۔

علی نواز نے کہا کہ مہنگائی نے COVID-19 کے بعد عالمی رجحان بنا دیا، انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ حکومت مہنگائی پر قابو پانے اور عام لوگوں کو ریلیف فراہم کرنے کے لیے ہر ممکن کوشش کر رہی ہے۔

ایس اے پی ایم نے کہا کہ دیگر ممالک کے مقابلے میں پاکستان میں اب بھی پٹرولیم مصنوعات اور چینی کی قیمتیں کم ہیں، انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ پٹرولیم مصنوعات کی قیمتیں بین الاقوامی مارکیٹ سے منسلک ہیں۔
