Construction of 7th Avenue Interchange still yet to start

Construction of 7th Avenue Interchange is yet to commence as the Capital Development Authority (CDA) continues to complete post-bid formalities despite the passage of one month since the project’s groundbreaking.

Last month, Prime Minister Imran Khan performed the groundbreaking of the 7th Avenue Interchange and two other projects at Pak-China Centre.

The NLC won the contract after submitting the lowest bid against the one submitted by the Frontier Works Organization (FWO). The CDA had estimated the cost of the project at Rs1.5 billion.

A CDA official, on the other hand, said letters of acceptance and commencement would be issued to the contractor that is National Logistics Cell (NLC), after the necessary formalities are completed.

Besides, the prime minister also performed the groundbreaking of the I.J. Principal Road and Sihala flyover. The CDA official said the contractor had mobilized its machinery and started a joint survey for the Sihala flyover.

For the expansion and overhauling of I.J. Principal Road, the contractor was setting up its camp offices while sites have been identified where he will start test piling work soon.

 “We have been working dedicatedly to complete the process of all three projects before their formal start.

These projects are our priority and they will be started soon,” an official said, adding that once started there would be no delay as the CDA had a surplus budget and contractors would be asked to ensure completion of these projects within the stipulated time.

اسلام آباد: 7 ویں ایونیو انٹرچینج کی تعمیر تاخیر کا شکار ہے کیونکہ سی ڈی اے بولی کے بعد کی رسمی کارروائی مکمل کر رہا ہے۔ ساتویں ایونیو انٹرچینج کی تعمیر ابھی شروع نہیں ہوئی ہے کیونکہ کیپیٹل ڈیولپمنٹ اتھارٹی (سی ڈی اے) پروجیکٹ کے سنگ بنیاد کے بعد ایک ماہ گزرنے کے باوجود بولی کے بعد کی رسمی تکمیل جاری رکھے ہوئے ہے۔ گزشتہ ماہ وزیراعظم عمران خان نے پاک چین مرکز میں ساتویں ایونیو انٹر چینج اور دو دیگر منصوبوں کا سنگ بنیاد رکھا۔ این ایل سی نے فرنٹیئر ورکس آرگنائزی��ن (ایف ڈبلیو او) کی جانب سے پیش کردہ بولی کے خلاف سب سے کم بولی جمع کرانے کے بعد ٹھیکہ جیت لیا۔ سی ڈی اے نے اس منصوبے کی لاگت کا تخمینہ 1.5 ارب روپے لگایا تھا۔ دوسری جانب سی ڈی اے کے ایک عہدیدار نے کہا کہ ضروری رسمی کام مکمل ہونے کے بعد ٹھیکیدار کو جو کہ نیشنل لاجسٹک سیل (این ایل سی) ہے ، کو منظوری اور آغاز کا خط جاری کیا جائے گا۔ اس کے علاوہ ، وزیر اعظم نے آئی جے کا سنگ بنیاد بھی رکھا پرنسپل روڈ اور سہالہ فلائی اوور۔ سی ڈی اے کے عہدیدار نے بتایا کہ ٹھیکیدار نے اپنی مشینری کو متحرک کیا اور سہالہ فلائی اوور کے لیے مشترکہ سروے شروع کیا۔ I.J کی توسیع اور اوور ہالنگ کے لیے پرنسپل روڈ ، ٹھیکیدار اپنے کیمپ آفس قائم کر رہا تھا جبکہ جگہوں کی نشاندہی کی گئی ہے جہاں وہ جلد ہی ٹیسٹ پائلنگ کا کام شروع کر دے گا۔ "ہم ان تینوں پروجیکٹس کے رسمی آغاز سے پہلے ان کے عمل کو مکمل کرنے کے لیے سرشار طریقے سے کام کر رہے ہیں۔ یہ منصوبے ہماری ترجیح ہیں اور ان کو جلد شروع کیا جائے گا۔ "انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ ایک بار شروع ہونے کے بعد کوئی تاخیر نہیں ہوگی کیونکہ سی ڈی اے کے پاس اضافی بجٹ ہے اور ٹھیکیداروں سے کہا جائے گا کہ وہ ان منصوبوں کو مقررہ وقت میں مکمل کریں۔
