CM statement to reserved seats in LG system for disables

While speaking at a program to mark International Day of Persons with Disabilities CM Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah said that I am keen to invest in the rehabilitation of differently-abled persons by establishing units in every district, but I need devoted, dedicated, and God-fearing volunteers for the purpose because this selfless service needs to be done with affection, personal care, and love. This event is organized by the provincial department of empowerment of persons with disabilities at the banquet hall of the CM House on Friday.

The day is observed globally on December 3 every year. CM said there was a dire need to work for the rehabilitation of differently-abled persons all over Sindh. “The Sindh government is ready to support genuine organizations to establish autism centers and rehabilitation units for mental health conditions, intellectual disabilities, vision impairment, and deafness,” he stated.

He said that his ministers who worked for the empowerment of persons with disabilities had completely changed in their day-to-day life and in their approach to handling such things. “The service to the persons with disabilities has given them a spiritual satisfaction and the same satisfaction I have witnessed among the teachers, trainers, physiotherapists, and volunteers serving them [persons with disabilities],” CM Murad Shah said.

He also added that when he took over as the CM, there was a department of special education with some schools where enrolment was very low. “I have created a full-fledged department of empowerment of persons with disabilities which has over 60 centers as some of them were devolved by the federal government to Sindh.”

He maintained that the Sindh government had focused on all kinds of disabilities to bring the persons affected by them into the mainstream. He said he would further strengthen the newly established rehabilitation center in Sujawal.

The CM said that his government had enacted different laws to provide legal cover for the proper care, education, rehabilitation, and vocational training of persons with disabilities. “I am trying my best to implement the five percent quota of differently-abled persons in government departments’ jobs.” On the occasion, differently-abled children from different cities staged tableaus, national songs, and one-act plays.

کراچی: وزیراعلیٰ سندھ سید مراد علی شاہ نے کہا ہے کہ ان کی حکومت صوبے کے بلدیاتی اداروں میں معذور افراد کے لیے نشستیں مختص کرنے کا منصوبہ بنا رہی ہے۔
وزیراعلیٰ سندھ سید مراد علی شاہ نے معذور افراد کے عالمی دن کے موقع پر منعقدہ ایک پروگرام سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ میں ہر ضلع میں یونٹس قائم کرکے معذور افراد کی بحالی میں سرمایہ کاری کرنے کا خواہشمند ہوں لیکن مجھے لگن، لگن اور محنت کی ضرورت ہے۔ خدا سے ڈرنے والے رضاکار اس مقصد کے لیےضرورت ہے کیونکہ یہ بے لوث خدمت پیار، ذاتی دیکھ بھال اور محبت کے ساتھ کرنے کی ضرورت ہے۔ یہ تقریب جمعہ کو وزیراعلیٰ ہاؤس کے بینکوئٹ ہال میں معذور افراد کو بااختیار بنانے کے صوبائی محکمہ کی جانب سے منعقد کی گئی.
یہ دن دنیا بھر میں ہر سال 3 دسمبر کو منایا جاتا ہے۔ وزیراعلیٰ نے کہا کہ سندھ بھر میں معذور افراد کی بحالی کے لیے کام کرنے کی اشد ضرورت ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ "سندھ حکومت دماغی صحت کے حالات، ذہنی معذوری، بینائی کی کمزوری اور بہرے پن کے لیے آٹزم سینٹرز اور بحالی یونٹس کے قیام کے لیے حقیقی تنظیموں کی مدد کے لیے تیار ہے۔"
انہوں نے کہا کہ ان کے وزراء جنہوں نے معذور افراد کو بااختیار بنانے کے لیے کام کیا، ان کی روزمرہ کی زندگی اور اس طرح کی چیزوں کو سنبھالنے کے انداز میں مکمل طور پر بدل گیا ہے۔ وزیراعلیٰ مراد شاہ نے کہا کہ "معذور افراد کی خدمت سے انہیں روحانی اطمینان حاصل ہوا ہے اور وہی اطمینان جو میں نے اساتذہ، ٹرینرز، فزیو تھراپسٹ اور رضاکاروں میں ان کی خدمت کرتے ہوئے دیکھا ہے،" وزیراعلیٰ مراد شاہ نے کہا۔
انہوں نے یہ بھی کہا کہ جب انہوں نے وزیر اعلیٰ کا عہدہ سنبھالا تو کچھ سکولوں کے ساتھ خصوصی تعلیم کا شعبہ تھا جہاں اندراج بہت کم تھا۔ "میں نے معذور افراد کو بااختیار بنانے کا ایک مکمل شعبہ بنایا ہے جس میں 60 سے زیادہ مراکز ہیں کیونکہ ان میں سے کچھ وفاقی حکومت نے سندھ کو منتقل کیے تھے۔"
انہوں نے کہا کہ سندھ حکومت نے تمام قسم کے معذور افراد کو قومی دھارے میں لانے کے لیے ان پر توجہ مرکوز کی ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ وہ سجاول میں نئے قائم ہونے والے بحالی مرکز کو مزید مضبوط کریں گے۔
وزیراعلیٰ نے کہا کہ ان کی حکومت نے معذور افراد کی مناسب دیکھ بھال، تعلیم، بحالی اور پیشہ ورانہ تربیت کے لیے قانونی تحفظ فراہم کرنے کے لیے مختلف قوانین بنائے ہیں۔ "میں سرکاری محکموں کی ملازمتوں میں معذور افراد کے پانچ فیصد کوٹے پر عمل درآمد کے لیے پوری کوشش کر رہا ہوں۔" اس موقع پر مختلف شہروں سے تعلق رکھنے والے معذور بچوں نے ٹیبلوز، قومی نغمے اور ایک ایکٹ ڈرامے پیش کئے۔
