CM Punjab reviews proposals for regularization of katchi abadis

Senior Member Board of Revenue (SMBR) briefed the chief minister about the regularisation of katchi abadis. Chief Secretary, BOR member, and others attended the meeting.

The chief minister directed that the cabinet standing commission for legislation should submit comprehensive recommendations after a detailed review. The recommendations will be presented before the provincial cabinet for a final decision and all legal requirements will be fulfilled, he added.

The chief minister said that doctors would pay regular visits to old age homes for the treatment of the elderly people living there. He said that after Multan, a community welfare center would be set up in Lahore for the transgender and they would be made useful for the general public.

The chief minister was presiding over a meeting of the social welfare department, in which measures taken for the welfare of the poor segments were discussed.

He said that shelter homes would be made functional this year in Gujranwala, Multan, Pakpattan, and Jhang whereas two new children's homes would be established in Attock and Toba Tek Singh. Usman Buzdar said that a state-of-the-art institute would be established for the treatment of drug addicts and technical and vocational training would also be imparted to the addicts.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar said that the Punjab government was paying special attention to the welfare of the common man as well as to deserving sections of the society and the network of shelter homes was being expanded in Punjab.

The meeting discussed various welfare projects, including shelter homes for homeless people.

لاہور: وزیراعلیٰ سردار عثمان بزدار نے اپنے دفتر میں ایک اجلاس کی صدارت کی جس میں کچی آبادیوں کو باقاعدہ بنانے کی تجاویز کا جائزہ لیا گیا۔

سینئر ممبر بورڈ آف ریونیو (ایس ایم بی آر) نے وزیراعلیٰ کو کچی آبادیوں کے ریگولرائزیشن کے بارے میں آگاہ کیا۔ چیف سیکرٹری ، بی او آر ممبر اور دیگر نے اجلاس میں شرکت کی۔

وزیراعلیٰ نے ہدایت کی کہ قانون سازی کے لیے کابینہ اسٹینڈنگ کمیشن تفصیلی جائزہ لینے کے بعد جامع سفارشات پیش کرے۔ انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ سفارشات کو حتمی فیصلے کے لیے صوبائی کابینہ کے سامنے پیش کیا جائے گا اور تمام قانونی تقاضے پورے کیے جائیں گے۔

وزیراعلیٰ نے کہا کہ ڈاکٹر وہاں رہنے والے بزرگ لوگوں کے علاج کے لیے اولڈ ایج ہومز کا باقاعدہ دورہ کریں گے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ ملتان کے بعد لاہور میں خواجہ سراؤں کے لیے کمیونٹی ویلفیئر سنٹر قائم کیا جائے گا اور انہیں عام لوگوں کے لیے مفید بنایا جائے گا۔

وزیراعلیٰ محکمہ سماجی بہبود کے اجلاس کی صدارت کر رہے تھے ، جس میں غریب طبقات کی فلاح و بہبود کے لیے کیے گئے اقدامات پر تبادلہ خیال کیا گیا۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ اس سال گوجرانوالہ ، ملتان ، پاکپتن اور جھنگ میں شیلٹر ہومز کو فعال بنایا جائے گا جبکہ اٹک اور ٹوبہ ٹیک سنگھ میں دو نئے چائلڈ ہوم بنائے جائیں گے۔ عثمان بزدار نے کہا کہ منشیات کے عادی افراد کے علاج کے لیے ایک جدید ترین انسٹی ٹیوٹ قائم کیا جائے گا اور عادی افراد کو فنی اور پیشہ ورانہ تربیت بھی دی جائے گی۔

دریں اثناء وزیراعلیٰ عثمان بزدار نے کہا کہ پنجاب حکومت عام آدمی کی فلاح و بہبود کے ساتھ ساتھ معاشرے کے مستحق طبقات پر خصوصی توجہ دے رہی ہے اور پنجاب میں شیلٹر ہومز کے نیٹ ورک کو بڑھایا جا رہا ہے۔

اجلاس میں بے گھر لوگوں کے لیے پناہ گاہوں سمیت مختلف فلاحی منصوبوں پر تبادلہ خیال کیا گیا۔
