CM lays foundation stone of Swat Engineering University & a hospital

Chief Minister Mahmood Khan on Wednesday laid the foundation stone for the Swat University of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Swat Paeds Hospital, and inaugurated Rescue 1122 station the Kabal tehsil of the district.

Federal Minister and Federal Minister for Communications and Postal Services Murad Saeed, KP cabinet Members Muhibullah, Amjad Ali Khan, Kamran Bangash, MNA Saleemur Rahman, and others were present on the occasion.

The construction of the engineering university campus building would be completed in three years. The university would consist of one main campus at Kabal and three sub-campuses at Barikot and Arkot at Kalam.

The university would have civil engineering, hydropower, biomedical, and computer systems engineering departments. Later, other disciplines like the climate change center and institute of manufacturing would be added to the university.

Talking to the media and later addressing the public gathering, the chief minister said he faced multiple challenges after taking the oath of his office three years back.

“According to the recent opinion polls, our popularity level has increased. We are working day and night according to the vision of Premier Imran Khan,” said Mahmood Khan.

Enumerating the steps taken by the KP government for the welfare of the people, he said health cards were provided to all citizens of the province to avail free health services.

“We are striving hard for the development of the province in every sector,” he said.

وزیراعلیٰ محمود خان نے بدھ کے روز سوات یونیورسٹی آف انجینئرنگ اینڈ اپلائیڈ سائنسز ، سوات پیڈز ہسپتال کا سنگ بنیاد رکھا اور ضلع کی تحصیل کبل ریسکیو 1122 اسٹیشن کا افتتاح کیا۔

اس موقع پر وفاقی وزیر اور وفاقی وزیر مواصلات اور پوسٹل سروسز مراد سعید ، کے پی کابینہ کے اراکین محب اللہ ، امجد علی خان ، کامران بنگش ، ایم این اے سلیم الرحمان اور دیگر موجود تھے۔

انجینئرنگ یونیورسٹی کیمپس کی عمارت کی تعمیر تین سال میں مکمل ہو جائے گی۔ یہ یونیورسٹی کبل میں ایک مرکزی کیمپس اور باریکوٹ میں تین سب کیمپس اور کالام میں آرکوٹ پر مشتمل ہوگی۔

یونیورسٹی میں سول انجینئرنگ ، ہائیڈرو پاور ، بائیو میڈیکل اور کمپیوٹر سسٹمز انجینئرنگ ڈیپارٹمنٹ ہوں گے۔ بعد میں ، دیگر شعبوں جیسے ماحولیاتی تبدیلی مرکز اور انسٹی ٹیوٹ آف مینوفیکچرنگ کو یونیورسٹی میں شامل کیا جائے گا۔

میڈیا سے بات کرتے ہوئے اور بعد میں عوامی اجتماع سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے وزیر اعلیٰ نے کہا کہ تین سال قبل اپنے عہدے کا حلف اٹھانے کے بعد انہیں کئی چیلنجوں کا سامنا کرنا پڑا۔

حالیہ رائے شماری کے مطابق ہماری مقبولیت میں اضافہ ہوا ہے۔ ہم وزیر اعظم عمران خان کے وژن کے مطابق دن رات کام کر رہے ہیں۔

کے پی حکومت کی جانب سے عوام کی فلاح و بہبود کے لیے اٹھائے گئے اقدامات کا ذکر کرتے ہوئے انہوں نے کہا کہ صوبے کے تمام شہریوں کو مفت صحت کی سہولیات حاصل کرنے کے لیے ہیلتھ کارڈ فراہم کیے گئے ہیں۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم صوبے کی ترقی کے لیے ہر شعبے میں کوشاں ہیں۔
