Clean, Green Gwadar project starts showing positive results

According to the news sources, the climate change ministry collaborated with the Chinese officials who were working on the multi-billion China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) to make it environment-friendly.

According to the details, in a meeting, it will be decided that a number of initiatives would be taken in the next five years to bring a visible and positive change in the natural environment of Gwadar City.

Now it is going to become a ‘Zero Waste City’ as solid and liquid waste would be recycled and used for the benefit of the local people.

According to the news sources, the project of planting one million trees is nearing completion under Agriculture Eco-System Project.

Additionally, govt is working on various projects that have shown tremendous results such as Pakistan-China Friendship Green Park, GDA Central Park, GDA new town family park, Sunset Park, Gwadar Port Free Zone Nursery, Tissue Culture Lab, and intelligent greenhouse in free zone area.

The work on projects is also underway including Aloe Vera plantation and Juncao, a name for fungi-breeding herbaceous plants, also known as the ‘Magic Grass’.

The tree plantation drives have been completed on various main roads including Marine Drive and Syed Hashmi Avenue (Old Airport), Shaheed Capt. Road, Pakistan-China Friendship Road.

The plantation is also noticeable in China-Pakistan Faqeer Middle School, GDA higher secondary school, Bahria Model Schools, Army Public Schools, and Allama Iqbal Open University campus.

An official said that local people are now becoming the beneficiary of greener life since Gwadar port came under the preview of the CPEC.

تفصیلات کے مطابق اجلاس میں فیصلہ کیا جائے گا کہ گوادر شہر کے قدرتی ماحول میں واضح اور مثبت تبدیلی لانے کے لیے آئندہ پانچ سالوں میں متعدد اقدامات کیے جائیں گے۔
اب یہ ’زیرو ویسٹ سٹی‘ بننے جا رہا ہے کیونکہ ٹھوس اور مائع کچرے کو ری سائیکل کرکے مقامی لوگوں کے فائدے کے لیے استعمال کیا جائے گا۔
نیوز ذرائع کے مطابق ایگریکلچر ایکو سسٹم پراجیکٹ کے تحت 10 لاکھ درخت لگانے کا منصوبہ تکمیل کے قریب ہے۔
مزید برآں، حکومت مختلف منصوبوں پر کام کر رہی ہے جس کے شاندار نتائج دکھائے گئے ہیں جیسے کہ پاکستان چائنہ فرینڈ شپ گرین پارک، جی ڈی اے سینٹرل پارک، جی ڈی اے نیو ٹاؤن فیملی پارک، سن سیٹ پارک، گوادر پورٹ فری زون نرسری، ٹشو کلچر لیب، اور مفت میں ذہین گرین ہاؤس۔ زون کے علاقے.
پراجیکٹس پر کام بھی جاری ہے جس میں ایلو ویرا پلانٹیشن اور جنکاو شامل ہیں، جو کہ پھپھوندی کی افزائش کرنے والے جڑی بوٹیوں والے پودوں کا نام ہے، جسے 'میجک گراس' بھی کہا جاتا ہے۔
میرین ڈرائیو اور سید ہاشمی ایونیو (اولڈ ایئرپورٹ)، شہید کیپٹن روڈ، پاکستان چائنا فرینڈ شپ روڈ سمیت مختلف اہم سڑکوں پر شجرکاری مہم مکمل کر لی گئی ہے۔
چائنا پاکستان فقیر مڈل سکول، جی ڈی اے ہائر سیکنڈری سکول، بحریہ ماڈل سکولز، آرمی پبلک سکولز اور علامہ اقبال اوپن یونیورسٹی کیمپس میں بھی شجرکاری قابل توجہ ہے۔
ایک اہلکار نے کہا کہ گوادر بندرگاہ سی پیک کے پیش نظر آنے کے بعد اب مقامی لوگ سرسبز زندگی سے مستفید ہو رہے ہیں۔
