Civil Secretariat Orders LDA to Improve One Window Operations

Lahore: During a meeting presided by the Chief Secretary Punjab Maj ® Azam Suleman Khan, many important decisions were taken regarding ease of doing business. These decisions included dealing with construction permits. 

The meeting was organized at Civil Secretariat where it was also decided to take measures to improve the Lahore Development Authority’s (LDA) one window operation with the aim to facilitate the investors and companies working in the construction sector. The directives were also issued to the director-general of the LDA.

The representative of the Federal Secretary Board of Investment also briefed that owing to the concrete steps taken by the Federal and provincial governments, Pakistan has moved up by 28 places in the world’s ranking of ease of doing business. He further added that it is crucial to work at the same pace to improve this ranking further going in 2020.
