Christmas train inaugurated

The minister told the media that the purpose of the program was to share Christmas celebrations with the Christian community and to foster interfaith cooperation. He stated that the Christmas train would go from Lahore to Karachi and that two additional coaches would be added to the Allama Iqbal Express for this purpose.

"My responsibility is to preserve the rights of all minorities working in Pakistan Railways, regardless of their religious affiliation," Azam Swati said at a function at Lahore Railway Station. "Whenever they need me, I and my officers stand shoulder to shoulder with them."

The minister expressed his expectation that the railways would be debt-free by June 2022. "Every feasible measure is being taken to prevent railway corruption." I implore members of all unions to refuse to support any unfair individual or to use the union to blackmail any employee. Always back up the truth, this will improve the railways,” he added.

Chief Executive Officer Pakistan Railways Nisar Ahmad Memon, Divisional Superintendent Lahore Mian Tariq Latif, and other senior railway officials besides Kamran Pervez Ch, Coordinator Governor Punjab, and Pastor Jamil Church of Pentecost Pakistan attended the function. Later, Azam Swati paid a detailed visit to Lahore Railway Station where he was directed to use all the resources within the limits of the station to provide the best possible facilities to the passengers.

لاہور: وفاقی وزیر ریلوے اعظم خان سواتی نے جمعہ کو ایک تقریب کے دوران کرسمس کی تقریبات کے حصے کے طور پر "کرسمس پیس پرے ٹرین" کا افتتاح کر دیا۔
وزیر نے میڈیا کو بتایا کہ اس پروگرام کا مقصد مسیحی برادری کے ساتھ کرسمس کی تقریبات کا اشتراک اور بین المذاہب تعاون کو فروغ دینا تھا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ کرسمس ٹرین لاہور سے کراچی جائے گی اور اس مقصد کے لیے علامہ اقبال ایکسپریس میں دو اضافی بوگیاں شامل کی جائیں گی۔
اعظم سواتی نے لاہور ریلوے اسٹیشن پر ایک تقریب میں کہا، "میری ذمہ داری پاکستان ریلوے میں کام کرنے والی تمام اقلیتوں کے حقوق کا تحفظ کرنا ہے، چاہے ان کا مذہبی تعلق کچھ بھی ہو۔" "جب بھی انہیں میری ضرورت ہوتی ہے، میں اور میرے افسران ان کے ساتھ کندھے سے کندھا ملا کر کھڑے ہوتے ہیں۔"
وزیر نے اپنی توقع ظاہر کی کہ ریلوے جون 2022 تک قرضوں سے پاک ہو جائے گا۔ "ریلوے میں بدعنوانی کو روکنے کے لیے ہر ممکن اقدام اٹھایا جا رہا ہے۔" میں تمام یونینز کے ممبران سے التجا کرتا ہوں کہ وہ کسی بھی غیر منصفانہ فرد کی حمایت کرنے سے انکار کریں یا یونین کو کسی بھی ملازم کو بلیک میل کرنے کے لیے استعمال کریں۔ ہمیشہ سچ کا ساتھ دیں، اس سے ریلوے میں بہتری آئے گی،‘‘ انہوں نے مزید کہا۔
تقریب میں چیف ایگزیکٹو آفیسر پاکستان ریلویز نثار احمد میمن، ڈویژنل سپرنٹنڈنٹ لاہور میاں طارق لطیف اور ریلوے کے دیگر اعلیٰ حکام کے علاوہ کامران پرویز چوہدری، کوآرڈینیٹر گورنر پنجاب اور پینٹی کوسٹ پاکستان کے پادری جمیل چرچ نے شرکت کی۔ بعد ازاں اعظم سواتی نے لاہور ریلوے سٹیشن کا تفصیلی دورہ کیا جہاں انہیں ہدایت کی گئی کہ وہ تمام وسائل بروئے کار لا کر سٹیشن کی حدود میں مسافروں کو بہترین سہولیات فراہم کریں۔
