Chinese investors interested in establishing an optic fibre link from Khunjerab to Rawalpindi

During a meeting presided by the Syed Amin-Ul-Haque, the Federal Minister for Information Technology, said that in order to step into the Chinese Market, local IT companies need to engage in CPEC. This step is highly vital towards achieving stability within the government policies which will also help attract local and international companies.

Furthermore, it was revealed that Chinese investors are interested in establishing another optic fibre link from the Khunjerab to Rawalpindi along the railway line to Karachi. The members of the meeting were informed that the aim of this project was to connect Gwadar with Karachi, then carry the cable under the sea to the Persian Gulf Region.

During a high-level meeting attended by the enterprises involved in the CPEC projects, the minister expressed his desire to deliver Pakistani companies in the Chinese market with market access. Initiatives identified to achieve the proposed goals were also discussed which include assisting the Chinese IT companies in establishing offices in Pakistan.

وفاقی وزیر برائے انفارمیشن ٹیکنالوجی سید امین الحق کی زیر صدارت اجلاس کے دوران کہا کہ چینی مارکیٹ میں قدم رکھنے کے لیے مقامی آئی ٹی کمپنیوں کو سی پیک میں شامل ہونے کی ضرورت ہے۔ یہ قدم حکومتی پالیسیوں کے اندر استحکام کے حصول کے لیے انتہائی اہم ہے جس سے مقامی اور ��ین الاقوامی کمپنیوں کو راغب کرنے میں بھی مدد ملے گی۔
مزید برآں، یہ انکشاف ہوا کہ چینی سرمایہ کار خنجراب سے راولپنڈی تک ریلوے لائن کے ساتھ ساتھ کراچی تک ایک اور آپٹک فائبر لنک قائم کرنے میں دلچسپی رکھتے ہیں۔ اجلاس کے اراکین کو بتایا گیا کہ اس منصوبے کا مقصد گوادر کو کراچی سے جوڑنا ہے، پھر اس کیبل کو سمندر کے نیچے خلیج فارس کے خطے تک پہنچانا ہے۔
CPEC منصوبوں میں شامل کاروباری اداروں کی ایک اعلیٰ سطحی میٹنگ کے دوران وزیر نے چینی مارکیٹ میں پاکستانی کمپنیوں کو مارکیٹ رسائی کے ساتھ فراہم کرنے کی خواہش کا اظہار کیا۔ مجوزہ اہداف کے حصول کے لیے جن اقدامات کی نشاندہی کی گئی ہے ان پر بھی تبادلہ خیال کیا گیا جن میں چینی آئی ٹی کمپنیوں کو پاکستان میں دفاتر قائم کرنے میں مدد کرنا شامل ہے۔
