Cement sales increase by 29.94% in FY20

The report presented by APMA suggests that the cement sales in the country were recorded at 4.623 million tons in June 2020, comparative to 3.557 million tons in June 2019. Domestically, the cement sale is increased by 19.63% and was recorded at 3.825 million tons in June 2020, while in June 2019 the sales were recorded as 3.206 million tons.

On the other hand, the exports jumped by 123.89% to 0.787million tons in June while in the past year the exports were recorded at 0.351 million tons.  The domestic cement consumption in the northern areas of Pakistan was at 3.384 million tons in June 2020 against 2.750 million tons recorded last year. The export ratio from the north region of the country fell to 46.025 million tons in July 202 while in 2019 the recorded ratio was 0.145 million tons.

The Cement export increased to 0.742 million tons in June 2020 from 0.2.6 million tons from the last year while the domestic consumption of cement in year 2019 recorded from the south contracted areas was recorded at 0.445 to 0.451 million tons. The overall cement usage for July 2019 to July 2020 is increased by 1.98% to 47.81 million tons, which is no doubt a notable change.  This change in the usage was due to higher exports that increased by 19.8%, crossing the 7 million tons mark. Comparatively, the domestic usage slipped by 1% in the economic year 2020.

When we compare the cement manufacturing units in a different zone, it is highlighted by the APCMA that the northern sides of Pakistan were stronger in domestic consumption and south region exports. The released data of APCMA states that around 34.327 million tons of cement were sold to the domestic markets in the northern area of Pakistan. Exports of the north region were increased by 46.47% and were recorded by 46.67% at the rate of 5.877 million tons in June 2020.

APCMA representative stated that the domestic growth highlighted the increase in demand which make it sure that the industry would face better result in the economical year 2020. The increase in the sale was also credited to new bonuses and facilities announced by the PM Imran Khan for the construction industry of Pakistan.

تفصیلات کے مطابق جون 2020 میں مُلکی ڈومیسٹک مارکیٹ میں سیمنٹ کی فروخت میں 19.63% اضافہ ہوا جو کہ 3.835 میلین ٹن ریکارڈ ہوئی۔ دوسری جانب رواں مالی سال میں سیمنٹ کی برآمد میں 123.89% اضافہ ریکارڈ ہوا۔ جون 2020 میں سیمنٹ کی برآمدات کا حجم 0.787 ملین ٹن ریکارڈ ہوا جبکہ جون 2019 میں یہ حجم 0.351 ملین ٹن ریکارڈ ہوا تھا۔

شمال میں بھی سیمنٹ کی ڈومیسٹک استعمال میں اضافہ دیکھنے میں آیا ہے۔ رواں سال 3.384 ملین ٹن سیمنٹ کا استعمال ہوا جبکہ سال 2019 میں 2.750 ملین ٹن سیمنٹ کا استعمال ہوا تھا۔ شمال سے برآمدات میں کمی دیکھنے میں آئی جہاں جون 2020 میں برآمدات 46,025 ٹن ریکارڈ ہوئیں جو کہ پچھلے سال 0.145 ملین ٹن ریکارڈ ہوئی تھیں                                                                                                                                                   ۔

جنوب میں بھی سیمنٹ کی ڈومیسٹک استعمال میں کمی واقع ہوئی جو کہ جون 2020 میں 0.455 ملین ٹن کے مقابلے میں اس سال 0.451 ملین ٹن ریکارڈ ہوئیں۔ وہیں برآمدات میں اضافہ دیکھنے کو ملا جہاں جون 2019 کے 0.206 ملین ٹن میں ریکارڈ ہوئیں جو کہ اس سال 0.742 ملین ٹن ریکارڈ ہوئیں                            ۔

ریلیز شدہ ڈیٹا کے مطابق نارتھرن زون میں مُلکی ڈومیسٹک مارکیٹ کو 34.327 ملین ٹن سیمنٹ بیچی گئی جبکہ گزشتہ سال کے مقابلے میں رواں مالی سال میں       مجموعی گروتھ میں 6.07% دیکھنے میں آیا۔ ساؤتھ زون میں برآمد شدہ سیمنٹ میں 46.47% اضافہ دیکھنے میں آیا جو کہ جون 2020 میں 5.877 ملین  ریکارڈ ہوئیں                                                                                                                                                               ۔

تفصیلات کے مطابق بریفنگ کے دوران اے پی سی ایم اے کے نمائندہ کا کہنا تھا کہ سیمنٹ کی ڈومیسٹک طلب میں اضافہ اس بات کا واضح اشارہ ہے کہ ملکی معیشت رواں مالی سال میں بہتری کی جانب گامزن ہے۔تفصیلات کے مطابق وزیرِ اعظم عمران خان کی جانب سے صنعتی سیکٹر کو دیے گئے حالیہ مراعات کو بھی اس اضافے سے بھی منسلک کیا جا رہا ہے                                                                                                                                      ۔
