CDA Workers` Protest Against the Authority

After the announcement of the cancellation of contracts of cleanliness work was made in the federal capital, Islamabad, the workers of sanitation carried out a protest demonstration outside the headquarter of Capital Development Authority (CDA). 

The CDA board found irregularities in awarding of the contract of sanitation work in three packages, hence, took a decision of referring the case against the contractor, followed by the Islamabad mayor and the rest of the MCI officials, to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).

While the protest was led by works right outside the CDA headquarters, giving an impression that the exact one was sponsored by the contractor who was eager to prevent the civic body from taking any sort of legal action that would go against him.

It is been disclosed that the contractor facilitated people being to a specific community for gathering outside the CDA offices to carry out protest again the actions of the authority. The management of CDA shut down all gates leading to CDA offices to stop protesters from entering their premises.

On the occasion, a CDA officer announced that the sanitation workers of CDA will be awarded and accommodated in new contacts and their salaries will be paid by the new contractors.

اس موقع پر ، سی ڈی اے آفیسر نے اعلان کیا کہ سی ڈی اے کے صفائی ستھرائی کے کارکنوں کو نوازا جائے گا اور انہیں نئے رابطوں میں جگہ دی جائے گی اور ان کی تنخواہیں نئے ٹھیکیدار ادا کریں گے۔
