Traders Welfare Association G-11 Markaz and Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ICCI) urged CDA and MCI to initiate development work on urgent basis and address the issues of the business community.
Islamabad: A delegation of the Traders Welfare Association in G-11 Markaz visited Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ICCI) and highlighted the key issues faced by them in their market that should be addressed by the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI).
Led by the President Ch. Aftab Gujar, key members of the Traders Welfare Association attended the meeting with the ICCI officials including Secretary-General Syed Qaisar Abbas Kazmi. Speaking at the occasion, Ch. Aftab Gujar said that due to the inattention of CDA and MCI, the traders of the G-11 Markaz market were facing many problems. The filtration plant was not installed in their market and people of the area were deprived of clean drinking water. The water shortage, broken roads, footpaths, sewerage systems, street lights, sanitation problems, and lack of public toilets, etc. were the major issues in the area that need urgent attention from the authorities. The delegation stressed that CDA and MCI should address these on an urgent basis.
Addressing the delegation; Muhammad Ahmed Waheed President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce& Industry, in presence of key officials of ICCI, said that G-11 Markaz is one of the most important business centers in the city and urged the CDA and MCI to urgently resolve the highlighted issues of traders. He said that officials should use all the resources to create a better business and living environment in the area.
