CDA to spend Rs. 55bn on Islamabad Development Projects

Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan was informed that the Capital Development Authority (CDA) would utilize Rs. 55bn it had generated via auctions for various development projects in Islamabad.

The auctions for properties took place in July and September leaving CDA with a lot of revenue.

It was conveyed to the PM during a weekly meeting of the national coordination committee on housing, construction, and development. Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Shibli Faraz, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail, Special Assistant to PM Malik Ameen Aslam, Lt Gen (R) Asim Saleem Bajwa and Dr. Shehbaz Gul, State Bank Governor Reza Baqir, Naya Pakistan Housing Authority Chairman Lt Gen (R) Anwar Ali Haider and other senior officers were present in the meeting while chief secretaries attended the meeting through video link.

The CDA chairman informed the PM about the ongoing development projects in the federal capital, two previous auctions, progress on Islamabad’s new masterplan, and the steps being taken to promote the construction activities in the city. The briefing also included the progress on the automation of CDA.

It was told that different projects, including the Park Enclave Bridge, Burma Bridge, G-7, and G-8 underpass, various pedestrian bridges, and construction of additional blocks in the Capital Hospital had so far been completed.

اسلام آباد: وزیر اعظم عمران خان کو بتایا گیا کہ کیپٹل ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹی (سی ڈی اے) اسلام آباد میں مختلف ترقیاتی منصوبوں کے لئے 5 ارب روپے استعمال کرے گی جو نیلامی کے ذریعے پیدا کیا تھا.

جائیدادوں کی نیلامی جولائی اور ستمبر میں ہوئی جس میں سی ڈی اے نے بہت زیادہ محصول وصول کیا۔

وزیر اعظم کو ہاؤسنگ ، تعمیرات ، اور ترقی سے متعلق قومی رابطہ کمیٹی کے ہفتہ وار اجلاس کے دوران وزیر اعظم کو یہ بتایا گیا۔ وزیر اطلاعات و نشریات سینیٹر شبلی فراز ، گورنر سندھ عمران اسماعیل ، وزیر اعظم کے معاون خصوصی امین اسلم ، لیفٹیننٹ جنرل (ر) عاصم سلیم باجوہ اور ڈاکٹر شہباز گل ، اسٹیٹ بینک کے گورنر رضا باقر ، نیا پاکستان ہاؤسنگ اتھارٹی کے چیئرمین لیفٹیننٹ جنرل (ر) ) اجلاس میں انور علی حیدر اور دیگر اعلی افسران موجود تھے جبکہ چیف سیکرٹری ویڈیو لنک کے ذریعے اجلاس میں شریک ہوئے۔

سی ڈی اے چیئرمین نے وزیر اعظم کو وفاقی دارالحکومت میں جاری ترقیاتی منصوبوں ، دو سابقہ نیلامی ، اسلام آباد کے نئے ماسٹر پلان پر پیشرفت اور شہر میں تعمیراتی سرگرمیوں کو فروغ دینے کے لئے اٹھائے جانے والے اقدامات کے بارے میں آگاہ کیا۔

بریفنگ میں سی ڈی اے کے آٹومیشن سے متعلق پیشرفت بھی شامل ہے۔

بتایا گیا تھا کہ کیپٹل اسپتال میں پارک انکلیو برج ، برما برج ، جی۔ 7 اور جی 8 انڈر پاس ، مختلف پیدل چلنے والے پل اور اضافی بلاکس کی تعمیر سمیت مختلف منصوبے اب تک مکمل ہو چکے ہیں۔
