CDA to launch mass transit system in Islamabad on basis of 2017 census

According to the news sources, the 10th meeting of the Federal Commission held here with Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Amer Ali Ahmed in the chair took the decision that the Statistics Division will employ a focal person to provide mandatory information to the Federal Commission and the Planning Commission relating to 2017 census in Islamabad.

According to the details, this exercise was required to decide feasible routes and the number of buses to be obtained for the mass transit system in Islamabad on which the planning was being carried out. According to the news sources, The meeting also decided to hire the National Engineering Services of Pakistan (NesPak) as a consultant for the mass transit project in order to give residents of Islamabad, a quality transport service. The consultant will update the study while keeping in view the latest data of the population and houses in Islamabad.

خبر رساں ذرائع کے مطابق وفاقی کمیشن کے 10ویں اجلاس کی صدارت کیپٹل ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹی (سی ڈی اے) کے چیئرمین عامر علی احمد کی صدارت میں ہوئی جس میں فیصلہ کیا گیا کہ شماریات اسلام آباد میں 2017 کی مردم شماری سے متعلق ڈویژن وفاق کمیشن اور پلاننگ کمیشن کو لازمی معلومات فراہم کرنے کے لیے ایک فوکل پرسن تعینات کرے گا۔
تفصیلات کے مطابق یہ مشق اسلام آباد میں ماس ٹرانزٹ سسٹم کے لیے قابل عمل روٹس اور حاصل کی جانے والی بسوں کی تعداد کے تعین کے لیے ضروری تھی جس پر منصوبہ بندی کی جا رہی تھی۔ نیوز ذرائع کے مطابق اجلاس میں اسلام آباد کے رہائشیوں کو معیاری ٹرانسپورٹ سروس دینے کے لیے ماس ٹرانزٹ پروجیکٹ کے لیے نیشنل انجینئرنگ سروسز آف پاکستان (قومی خدماتِ مہندسی پاکستان) کو بطور کنسلٹنٹ رکھنے کا فیصلہ کیا گیا۔ کنسلٹنٹ اسلام آباد میں آبادی اور مکانات کے تازہ ترین اعداد و شمار کو مدنظر رکھتے ہوئے مطالعہ کو اپ ڈیٹ کرے گا۔
