CDA to build walkthrough museum

It aimed at inspiring new generations from the sacrifices rendered by forefathers in the creation of Pakistan.

Photographic images from the Pakistan movement would be displayed around the walkthrough, providing children, and residents of the federal capital an opportunity to see the country’s history in a unique style, CDA spokesman told this.

A flag monument site would be developed in open space adjacent to the Monument, and converted into an outdoor museum with no walls and ceiling, he added. In this regard, he said modern technology would be employed to display 3D images carved out on the pillars.

These will be renderings of actual events depicted in actual photographs. The authority has sought services of renowned artist Aftab Changaizi who has credit in projects like National Heritage Museum, National Monument Museum, Folk Heritage, Army Museum Rawalpindi, Army Museum Lahore, and Senate Museum.

The spokesman said the landscaping and parking of the project would be carried out by environment wing of CDA. The work on the project was likely to commence in August this year, he added.

CDA has directed speedy completion of the two ongoing development projects on Islamabad Expressway.

An official of CDA told this agency that currently, work on the PWD underpass and expansion of Korang Bridge was in progress and as per their set deadlines, the underpass would be completed in July and expansion of the bridge in December this year.

He said the CDA is making all-out efforts to complete the ongoing projects despite the third wave of coronavirus pandemic.

ترجمان نے بتایا کہ اس منصوبے کی زمین کی تزئین اور پارکنگ سی ڈی اے کے ماحولیاتی شعبے کے ذریعہ انجام دی جائے گی۔ انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ پراجیکٹ پر اس سال کام اگست میں شروع ہونا تھا۔

سی ڈی اے نے اسلام آباد ایکسپریس وے پر جاری ترقیاتی منصوبوں پر دونوں کی جلد تکمیل کی ہدایت کی ہے۔

سی ڈی اے کے ایک عہدیدار نے اس ایجنسی کو بتایا کہ فی الحال ، پی ڈبلیو ڈی انڈر پاس اور کورنگ پل کی توسیع کا کام جاری ہے اور ان کی مقررہ آخری تاریخ کے مطابق انڈر پاس جولائی میں مکمل ہوجائے گا اور اس سال دسمبر میں پل کی توسیع ہوگی۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ سی ڈی اے کورونا وائرس وبائی بیماری کی تیسری لہر کے باوجود جاری منصوبوں کو مکمل کرنے کے لئے پوری کوشش کر رہی ہے۔
