Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has received the partial possession of a private housing society Jedha Town and the complete possession is expected to be received in a week’s time, as reported by the news sources.
Jedha Town is the first housing society launched in 1993. Initially, the society had obtained No Objection Certificate (NOC) to establish the housing project over 297 Kanals of land. However, the society was later established on 800 Kanals of land as per the law of CDA.
The society, in violation of the rules, sold more plots than the land in hand and the authority, in this connection, the authority took action and National Accountability Bureau (NAB) also filed two references against the management of the society. As a result of the references, the society administration was directed to handover the land of the society to the Deputy Commissioner Islamabad.
After completing all codal formalities, the process of obtaining possession of the land of Jedha Town has been started and pillars have been erected around the retrieved land. Enforcement Directorate of the Authority has been directed to ensure effective monitoring.
District Administration of Islamabad and officers of Planning Wing of the authority are taking collective measures to obtain the possession of the land of the society. The complete possession of the land would likely be obtained during this week.
