CDA Ready To Establish New Industrial Estate in Collaboration with ICCI

Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA), Amir Ali Ahmed said that the demand of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) for setting up a new industrial estate in Islamabad was quite legitimate and assured that CDA was ready to complete this important project in collaboration with ICCI.

He said this while addressing the delegation of ICCI, led by President Muhammad Shakeel Munir, which visited the CDA Head Office and met with Chairman CDA Amir Ali Ahmed to discuss key issues of the business community, said a press release issued here.

Addressing the delegation, Amir Ali said that ICCI should prepare a comprehensive proposal for a new industrial estate and send it to the CDA so that the project could be taken forward in consultation with the concerned departments of the government.

It was agreed in the meeting that ICCI would hold another meeting with the Chairman CDA on November 15 with a ready proposal for an industrial estate.

Chairman CDA acknowledged that Kahuta Industrial Triangle has been neglected for development but added that roads carpeting work has been started in the said industrial estate and assured that the remaining issues would also be resolved soon.

Chairman said that the dualization of Islamabad Dry Port Road would be inaugurated next Friday. He said that the process of bids opening for construction of parking plazas in markets was being started soon.

He vowed that the CDA would continue to work with ICCI for the development of industrial areas, markets, and the city. Speaking on the occasion, President ICCI Muhammad Shakeel Munir apprised the Chairman CDA of the key issues facing the business community and stressed the need for their solution.

He said that the role of CDA is very important in solving the problems of the business community so it is hoped that CDA will play this role effectively.

اسلام آباد: سی ڈی اے آئی سی سی آئی کے ساتھ مل کر نئی انڈسٹریل اسٹیٹ قائم کرنے کے لیے تیار ہے۔

چیئرمین کیپٹل ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹی (سی ڈی اے) امیر علی احمد نے کہا کہ اسلام آباد چیمبر آف کامرس اینڈ انڈسٹری (آئی سی سی آئی) کا اسلام آباد میں نئی انڈسٹریل اسٹیٹ کے قیام کا مطالبہ بالکل جائز ہے اور انہوں نے یقین دلایا کہ سی ڈی اے اس اہم منصوبے کو مکمل کرنے کے لیے تیار ہے-

یہ بات انہوں نے صدر محمد شکیل منیر کی قیادت میں آئی سی سی آئی کے وفد سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے کہی جس نے سی ڈی اے ہیڈ آفس کا دورہ کیا اور چیئرمین سی ڈی اے امیر علی احمد سے ملاقات کی جس میں تاجر برادری کے اہم مسائل پر تبادلہ خیال کیا گیا۔

امیر علی نے وفد سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ آئی سی سی آئی نئی انڈسٹریل اسٹیٹ کے لیے ایک جامع تجویز تیار کر کے سی ڈی اے کو بھیجے تاکہ حکومت کے متعلقہ محکموں کی مشاورت سے اس منصوبے کو آگے بڑھایا جا سکے۔

اجلاس میں اس بات پر اتفاق کیا گیا کہ آئی سی سی آئی 15 نومبر کو چیئرمین سی ڈی اے کے ساتھ ایک اور میٹنگ کرے گا جس میں انڈسٹریل اسٹیٹ کے لیے تیار تجویز پیش کی جائے گی۔

چیئرمین سی ڈی اے نے اعتراف کیا کہ کہوٹہ انڈسٹریل ٹرائنگل کو ترقی کے حوالے سے نظر انداز کیا گیا ہے تاہم انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ مذکورہ انڈسٹریل اسٹیٹ میں سڑکوں کی کارپیٹنگ کا کام شروع کر دیا گیا ہے اور باقی مسائل کو بھی جلد حل کر لیا جائے گا۔

چیئرمین نے کہا کہ اسلام آباد ڈرائی پورٹ روڈ کی ڈبلائزیشن کا افتتاح آئندہ جمعہ کو کیا جائے گا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ مارکیٹوں میں پارکنگ پلازوں کی تعمیر کے لیے بولی کا عمل جلد شروع کیا جا رہا ہے۔

انہوں نے اس عزم کا اظہار کیا کہ سی ڈی اے صنعتی علاقوں، بازاروں اور شہر کی ترقی کے لیے آئی سی سی آئی کے ساتھ مل کر کام کرتا رہے گا۔ اس موقع پر خطاب کرتے ہوئے آئی سی سی آئی کے صدر محمد شکیل منیر نے چیئرمین سی ڈی اے کو تاجر برادری کو درپیش اہم مسائل سے آگاہ کیا اور ان کے حل کی ضرورت پر زور دیا۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ تاجر برادری کے مسائل کے حل میں سی ڈی اے کا کردار بہت اہم ہے اس لیے امید ہے کہ سی ڈی اے اس کردار کو موثر انداز میں ادا کرے گا۔
