CDA Ordered quick completion of New Blocks at Capital Hospital Islamabad

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Amer Ali Ahmed paid a visit to the under-constructed blocks of the Capital Hospital and gave orders for its earlier completion.

Officials informed the Chairman that the construction of new buildings, destruction of old blocks, and establishment of facilities had all been late and intentionally postponed because of the lockdown due to the Covid-19 situation.

Additionally, the chairman was also informed that work upon new blocks is now in speedy progress. The construction of these blocks started in September 2019, and it will take the next three months for the project to accomplish.

The 5-story building would have a space of 100 beds. ICU and CCU departments will also be made in the same block.

All OPDs and diagnostic centers will be constructed in the 5-story building along with a basement, also, rooms for six consultants, four rooms for diagnostic processes, and eight rooms for medical officers will be facilitated. Diagnostic services will consist of ECG, Echo-cardiography, Gastro Endoscopy, and ETT.

However, a 33-bed complete (Male) Medical Ward will be constructed on the ground floor, while a Women’s Ward consisting of 33 beds will be constructed on the first floor.

On the second floor, 16 beds, an angiography suite, CCU, VIP cardiac room, nurses, duty rooms station, and medical equipment store will be set up. On the third floor, an officers’ medical ward with 18 beds will be set up.
