CDA fetches about Rs37b from auction of 24 commercial plots

Plot no. 22 of Blue Area measuring 7000 square yards received the highest ever offer of Rs8.79 billion. The previous record of over Rs5 billion was held by a plot that was auctioned for construction of The Centaurus, over years back.

However, the market price of a plot possessed by owner of The Centaurus could still be higher. On second and last day of auction, the CDA auction committee received offers of Rs17.5 billion for eleven commercial plots.

Another plot measuring 2,600 square yards in the Blue Area was auctioned for Rs3.35 billion. A commercial plot in Diplomatic Enclave received the highest offer of Rs423,000 per square yard and the was auctioned for Rs1.64 billion.

The CDA Chairman, Aamir Ali Ahmed who expressed satisfaction over the successful auction said the authority has been successful in achieving the revenue target set from auction of plots at start of the fiscal year.

He said the amount received from the auction would be spent on gigantic development activities. The highest bids are subject to acceptance of the CDA board.

The auction committee was headed by Member Finance and also comprised of Member Estate, Member Planning and Design and other officials.

پلاٹ نمبر 7000 مربع گز ماپنے والے بلیو ایریا کے 22 کو اب تک کی سب سے زیادہ پیشکش 8.79 ارب روپے موصول ہوئی۔ 5 ارب روپے سے زائد کا سابقہ ریکارڈ پلاٹ کے پاس تھا جسے کئی سال قبل دی سینٹورس کی تعمیر کے لیے نیلام کیا گیا تھا۔

تاہم ، سینٹورس کے مالک کے پاس موجود پلاٹ کی مارکیٹ قیمت اب بھی زیادہ ہو سکتی ہے۔ نیلامی کے دوسرے اور آخری دن ، سی ڈی اے نیلامی کمیٹی کو گیارہ تجارتی پلاٹوں کے لیے 17.5 ارب روپے کی پیشکش موصول ہوئی۔

بلیو ایریا میں 2600 مربع گز کا ایک اور پلاٹ 3.35 ارب روپے میں نیلام ہوا۔ ڈپلومیٹک انکلیو میں ایک کمرشل پلاٹ کو سب سے زیادہ پیشکش 423،000 روپے فی مربع گز ملی اور اسے 1،64 ارب روپے میں نیلام کیا گیا۔

سی ڈی اے کے چیئرمین عامر علی احمد نے کامیاب نیلامی پر اطمینان کا اظہار کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ اتھارٹی مالی سال کے آغاز میں پلاٹوں کی نیلامی سے مقرر کردہ آمدنی کا ہدف حاصل کرنے میں کامیاب رہی ہے۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ نیلامی سے حاصل ہونے والی رقم بڑی ترقیاتی سرگرمیوں پر خرچ کی جائے گی۔ سب سے زیادہ بولیاں سی ڈی اے بورڈ کی منظوری سے مشروط ہیں۔

نیلامی کمیٹی کے سربراہ ممبر فنانس تھے اور اس میں ممبر اسٹیٹ ، ممبر پلاننگ اینڈ ڈیزائن اور دیگر عہدیدار بھی شامل تھے۔
