Balochistan Celebrated 62nd Gwadar Day

This day is celebrated each year to mark the merging of Gwadar with Pakistan. Vice Admiral Zahid Ilyas was the chief guest in the event and many exciting activities were executed under the sponsorships of Commander Coast and Pakistan Navy. 

The chief guest highlighted the Pakistan Navy`s commitment and dedication to the coastal region`s development while interacting with the crowd present on the occasion. He also highlighted the extraordinary efforts of the Pakistan Navy in ensuring maritime security of Gwadar Port and the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). 

Gwadar was officially handed over to Pakistan by Oman in 1958. In the beginning, Lt Iftikhar Ahmed Sirohey led a Naval Platoon that landed at Gwadar and unfolded the flag of Pakistan. Therefore, the 62nd Gwadar Day began with the same flag hoisting ceremony at PNS AKRAM to refresh the initial memory.

Various activities such as hovercraft maneuvers, boat rally, Naval Aviation at the beachfront, and demonstrations by the Special Service Group (Navy) were organized by Pakistan Navy to bring excitement to the celebrations and this accelerated the fervor of the people who were present at the occasion and enjoyed the event. 

The purpose behind this grand celebration was to enlighten the masses with the history of Gwadar. Covid-19`s precautionary measures were strictly observed, and military officials, as well as civil dignitaries, also witnessed the activities of the event.

کوئٹہ: پاک بحریہ 62 واں گوادر ڈے منا رہی ہے جو روایتی جوش و جذبے کے ساتھ گوادر بندرگاہ شہر میں کام کرنے والے لوگوں کے ساتھ ہے۔

یہ دن ہر سال گوادر کے پاکستان میں ضم ہونے کے موقع پر منایا جاتا ہے۔ وائس ایڈمرل زاہد الیاس تقریب کے مہمان خصوصی تھے اور کمانڈر کوسٹ اور پاکستان نیوی کی کفالت کے تحت بہت ساری دلچسپ سرگرمیاں انجام دی گئیں۔

مہمان خصوصی نے اس موقع پر موجود بھیڑ سے بات چیت کرتے ہوئے ساحلی خطے کی ترقی کے لئے پاک بحریہ کے عزم اور لگن کو اجاگر کیا۔ انہوں نے گوادر بندرگاہ اور چین پاکستان اقتصادی راہداری (سی پی ای سی) کی سمندری تحفظ کو یقینی بنانے میں پاک بحریہ کی غیر معمولی کوششوں پر بھی روشنی ڈالی۔

گوادر کو باضابطہ طور پر عمان نے 1958 میں پاکستان کے حوالے کیا تھا۔ ابتداء میں ، لیفٹیننٹ افتخار احمد سیروہی نے ایک نیول پلاٹون کی قیادت کی جو گوادر پر اترا اور پاکستان کا جھنڈا لہرایا۔ لہذا ، 62 ویں گوادر ڈے کا آغاز اسی یادداشت تازہ کرنے کے لئے پی این ایس اکرام میں اسی پرچم کشائی کی تقریب سے ہوا۔

پاکستان نیوی کے ذریعہ تقریبات میں جوش و خروش لانے کے لئے مختلف سرگرمیوں جیسے اوورکرافٹ ہتھکنڈوں ، کشتی ریلی ، بحریہ ایوی ایشن ، اور اسپیشل سروس گروپ (بحریہ) کے مظاہرے جیسے پروگراموں کا اہتمام کیا گیا تھا اور اس سے وہاں موجود لوگوں کے جوش و جذبے میں تیزی آئی۔ موقع اور تقریب سے لطف اندوز

اس عظیم الشان جشن کے پیچھے مقصد عوام کو گوادر کی تاریخ سے روشن کرنا تھا۔ کوویڈ 19 کے احتیاطی اقدامات پر سختی سے مشاہدہ کیا گیا ، اور فوجی عہدیداروں کے علاوہ شہری معززین نے بھی اس تقریب کی سرگرمیوں کا مشاہدہ کیا
