Astro Turf to be laid at Karachi Hockey Association's sports complex

The provincial minister, Shehla Raza, revealed that another mini turf for hockey-5 events will also be laid down at the complex. Added to that, it was revealed that 10 new turfs within six divisions of the province have been laid down. The locations these turfs are scattered throughout Sindh include Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Mirprukhas, Benazirabad, and Larkana.

Both the turfs to be placed at the complex will be imported from England. The main turf will be blue, whereas the mini turf will be green, which will require a couple of months to be laid down.

The construction work of the complex is funded by the Sindh government. The complex will include the construction of a hostel, swimming pool, as well as an athletics track.

صوبائی وزیر شہلا رضا نے انکشاف کیا کہ ہاکی 5 ایونٹس کے لیے ایک اور منی ٹرف بھی کمپلیکس میں رکھی جائے گی۔ اس کے علاوہ یہ بھی انکشاف ہوا کہ صوبے کے چھ ڈویژنوں میں 10 نئے ٹرف لگائے گئے ہیں۔ یہ ٹرف سندھ بھر میں جن مقامات پر بکھرے ہوئے ہیں ان میں کراچی، حیدرآباد، سکھر، میرپورخاص، بے نظیر آباد اور لاڑکانہ شامل ہیں۔
کمپلیکس میں رکھے جانے والے دونوں ٹرف انگلینڈ سے درآمد کیے جائیں گے۔ مین ٹرف نیلے رنگ کا ہو گا، جب کہ منی ٹرف سبز ہو گی، جسے بچھانے میں چند ماہ لگیں گے۔
کمپلیکس کی تعمیر کا کام سندھ حکومت کی جانب سے فنڈز فراہم کیا گیا ہے۔ اس کمپلیکس میں ہاسٹل، سوئمنگ پول اور ایتھلیٹکس ٹریک کی تعمیر شامل ہوگی۔
