Approval of Diamer-Bhasha Dam, road infrastructure projects: Executive Committee of the National Economic Council

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar presided over a meeting of the ECNEC. The participants in the meeting discussed and authorised the 4,500 MW Diamer-Bhasha Project Power Generation Facilities, which were priced at Rs.1.236.10 billion, including a Rs.598.19 billion Foreign Exchange Component (FEC).

According to the specifics, the project's goal is to take advantage of the 4,500 MW of cost-effective, sustainable hydropower energy generated by the facilities built as part of the Diamer-Bhasha Dam project. The Water and Power Development Authority is responsible for carrying out the aforementioned project. (WAPDA).

According to specifics, the project includes purchasing property for the widening and upgrading of a 329.7-kilometer dual highway with four lanes that runs from Rajanpur to Dera Ismail Khan.

In addition, ECNEC authorised the Rs.27.638 billion building of the Panjgur-Gichak-Awaran road. A 228-kilometer road will be built as part of the revised project from Panjgur-Gichak-Awaran in southern Balochistan.

تفصیلات کے مطابق، اس منصوبے میں راجن پور سے ڈیرہ اسماعیل خان تک چار لین والی 329.7 کلومیٹر طویل دوہری شاہراہ کو چوڑا اور اپ گریڈ کرنے کے لیے جائیداد کی خریداری شامل ہے۔
اس کے علاوہ ایکنک نے پنجگور گچک آواران روڈ کی 27.638 بلین روپے کی عمارت کی منظوری دی۔ جنوبی بلوچستان میں پنجگور-گچک-آواران تک نظرثانی شدہ منصوبے کے حصے کے طور پر 228 کلومیٹر طویل سڑک تعمیر کی جائے گی۔
