Due to a massive increase in COVID19 cases in all districts of Pakistan, the government has decided to keep all tourist resorts closed from 8th May to 16th May.
Following the decision made by the NCOC meeting, Punjab Tourism Department has decided to implement the directions in letter and spirit.
The chief minister’s Adviser on Tourism Asif Mehmood directed that all tourist destinations should be closed to the general public from May 8 to May 16. Warning signs should be displayed at all tourist spots to intimate visitors, he said.
He appealed to the people to avoid visiting tourist points, as well as heritage sites. "Tourism Department shall fulfill its responsibilities to stop the spread of fatal COVID19", pledged the adviser.
پاکستان کے تمام اضلاع میں کورونا وائرس کے مریضوں میں بڑے پیمانے پر اضافے کی وجہ سے حکومت نے فیصلہ کیا ہے کہ 8 مئی سے تمام سیاحتی مقامات کو بند رکھا جائے۔
این سی او سی کے اجلاس کے فیصلے کے بعد محکمہ سیاحت پنجاب نے محکمہ سیاحت کو خطوط اور روح کے مطابق عمل کرنے کا فیصلہ کیا ہے۔
وزیراعلیٰ کے مشیر برائے سیاحت آصف محمود نے ہدایت کی کہ 8 مئی سے 16 مئی تک تمام سیاحتی مقامات عام لوگوں کے لئے بند کردیئے جائیں۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ سیاحوں کے تمام مقامات پر انتباہی نشانیاں آویزاں ہونی چاہئیں۔
انہوں نے عوام سے اپیل کی کہ وہ سیاحوں کے مقامات کے ساتھ ہی ورثہ کے مقامات سے بھی پرہیز کریں۔ "محکمہ سیاحت مہلک کورونا وائرس کے پھیلاؤ کو روکنے کے لئے اپنی ذمہ داریاں پوری کرے گی" ، مشیر نے وعدہ کیا۔
