All resources being utilized to make Lahore clean and green

She was chairing a meeting to beautify Lahore on the directions of Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar at the CM Secretariat, here on Friday.

She said that clean and green Lahore was a dream of Prime Minister Imran Khan. She said that the Punjab Horticulture Authority (PHA) would plant 5 million trees in the city and the road map in this regard would be shared in next two days.

She said that plantation on Railway land was on the cards.

“Water And Sanitation Agency (WASA) has developed a strategy for drainage during monsoon season,” she informed. She added that three large scale projects would be completed to improve sewerage system in Lahore.

“Steps are being taken for supply of clean drinking water to Lahoris,” she added.

She disclosed that Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar had approved adequate funds to resolve the issues of the city.

Dr Yasmin said that there would be no stagnant water at roads after completion of the projects while an amount of Rs 1.5 billion would be spent for the completion of these projects and timely completion of these projects was the first priority.

She said that the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) had been directed to remove garbage from many sites in the city.

ذرائع کی موصولہ خبر کے مطابق ، وزیر صحت پنجاب ڈاکٹر یاسمین راشد نے جمعہ کو کہا کہ صوبائی دارالحکومت کو صاف ستھرا اور ہریالی بنانے کے لئے تمام وسائل بروئے کار لائے جارہے ہیں۔ وہ جمعہ کو یہاں وزیراعلیٰ سیکرٹریٹ میں وزیر اعلی سردار عثمان بزدار کی ہدایت پر لاہور کو خوبصورت بنانے کے لئے ایک اجلاس کی صدارت کر رہی تھیں۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ کلین اینڈ گرین لاہور وزیر اعظم عمران خان کا خواب تھا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ پنجاب ہارٹیکلچر اتھارٹی (پی ایچ اے) شہر میں 50 لاکھ درخت لگائے گی اور اس سلسلے میں روڈ میپ اگلے دو دن میں شیئر کیا جائے گا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ ریلوے کی زمین پر شجر کاری کارڈ پر تھی۔ انہوں نے بتایا ، "واٹر اینڈ سینی ٹیشن ایجنسی (واسا) نے مون سون کے موسم میں نکاسی آب کے لئے حکمت عملی تیار کی ہے۔" انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ لاہور میں سیوریج کے نظام کو بہتر بنانے کے لئے تین بڑے پیمانے پر منصوبے مکمل کیے جائیں گے۔ انہوں نے مزید کہا ، "لاہوریوں کو پینے کے صاف پانی کی فراہمی کے لئے اقدامات اٹھائے جارہے ہیں۔" انہوں نے انکشاف کیا کہ وزیر اعلیٰ پنجاب سردار عثمان بزدار نے شہر کے مسائل حل کرنے کے لئے مناسب فنڈز کی منظوری دے دی ہے۔ ڈاکٹر یاسمین نے کہا کہ منصوبوں کی تکمیل کے بعد سڑکوں پر پانی کا کوئی تعلق نہیں ہوگا جبکہ ان منصوبوں کی تکمیل کے لئے ڈیڑھ ارب روپے خرچ ہوں گے اور ان منصوبوں کی بروقت تکمیل پہلی ترجیح ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ لاہور ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹی (ایل ڈی اے) کو شہر کے متعدد مقامات سے کچرا ہٹانے کی ہدایت کی گئی ہے۔
