Action to be taken against unvaccinated government workers

Commissioner Capt (Retd) Muhammad Usman announced on Monday that stern action would be taken against the government employees who did not get corona vaccination.

The commissioner sought data of all government employees who did not get vaccinated across the division. He said vaccination data about government employees should be provided on Tuesday (today). According to the commissioner’s office, orders have been issued to provide lists to all administrative heads.

The commissioner said the government employees meet hundreds of people daily. Vaccination will protect precious lives and prevent the spread of the virus. Special counters and facilities were provided for vaccination in government institutions. Vaccination is to protect Pakistan from health and economic damage.

It is not only for one’s own safety but also for the protection of national interest,” the commissioner said. Commissioner said important decisions have been taken to expedite vaccination in Lahore, adding passengers would not be able to travel without vaccination.

He directed the departments concerned to put up banners in markets after August 30 to stop the entry of unvaccinated persons so that the citizens would be fully alert.

Social mobilization will be done through volunteers for door-to-door vaccination, he said, adding it has been decided to set up vaccination centers in colleges for students above 18 years of age.

The commissioner said citizens would be informed through announcements at the UC level. Citizens who did not get vaccinated were a walking threat not only to themselves but to everyone.

Vaccines were plentiful in Lahore. A campaign is being launched at the UC level.

کمشنر نے ان تمام سرکاری ملازمین کا ڈیٹا مانگا جنہوں نے ڈویژن میں ویکسین نہیں لی۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ سرکاری ملازمین کے بارے میں ویکسینیشن کا ڈیٹا منگل (آج) کو فراہم کیا جانا چاہیے۔ کمشنر آفس کے مطابق تمام انتظامی سربراہوں کو فہرستیں فراہم کرنے کے احکامات جاری کیے گئے ہیں۔

کمشنر نے کہا کہ سرکاری ملازمین روزانہ سینکڑوں لوگوں سے ملتے ہیں۔ ویکسینیشن قیمتی جانوں کی حفاظت کرے گی اور وائرس کے پھیلاؤ کو روکے گی۔ سرکاری اداروں میں ویکسینیشن کے لیے خصوصی کاؤنٹر اور سہولیات فراہم کی گئیں۔ ویکسینیشن پاکستان کو صحت اور معاشی نقصان سے بچانا ہے۔

کمشنر نے کہا کہ یہ نہ صرف اپنی حفاظت کے لیے ہے بلکہ قومی مفاد کے تحفظ کے لیے بھی ہے۔ کمشنر نے کہا کہ لاہور میں ویکسینیشن میں تیزی لانے کے لیے اہم فیصلے کیے گئے ہیں ، مسافر ویکسینیشن کے بغیر سفر نہیں کر سکیں گے۔

انہوں نے متعلقہ محکموں کو ہدایت کی کہ 30 اگست کے بعد بازاروں میں بینرز لگائے جائیں تاکہ غیر حفاظتی افراد کا داخلہ بند کیا جائے تاکہ شہری مکمل طور پر چوکس رہیں۔

گھر گھر ویکسینیشن کے لیے رضاکاروں کے ذریعے سماجی متحرک کیا جائے گا ، انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ 18 سال سے زائد عمر کے طلباء کے لیے کالجوں میں ویکسینیشن سنٹر قائم کرنے کا فیصلہ کیا گیا ہے۔

کمشنر نے کہا کہ شہریوں کو یو سی سطح پر اعلانات کے ذریعے آگاہ کیا جائے گا۔ جن شہریوں کو ویکسین نہیں دی گئی وہ نہ صرف اپنے لیے بلکہ ہر ایک کے لیے چلنے کا خطرہ تھے۔

لاہور میں ویکسین بہت زیادہ تھی۔ یو سی لیول پر ایک مہم چلائی جا رہی ہے۔
