ACS orders timely completion of development projects in Bahawalpur

The meeting was attended by secretaries of departments of the South Punjab Secretariat.  Secretary Planning and Development Shoaib Iqbal Syed briefed about the progress of the ongoing annual development program in South Punjab.

Later, the Secretary of the concerned department gave a detailed review of the performance of his respective departments directly on the SMDP portal.

The Chiefs of the C&W Department apprised the participants about the progress on the ongoing schemes under their respective departments as well as the ongoing development works in other departments including Health, Education, and others.

Additional Chief Secretary issued instructions to the participants to ensure timely completion of ongoing projects.  Slow schemes were reviewed one by one and it was directed that all resources be utilized to expedite them.  The departments were directed to regularly update the ongoing developments on the portal without any shortcomings.

The Secretary further directed that funds be shifted from slow-moving schemes to fast-track schemes to ensure their completion this year so that the maximum budget for next year could be allocated for new development projects.  Departments were directed to ensure 100 percent utilization of all funds released this year.

The officers of the departments were specially directed to personally visit the ongoing schemes in the field on a regular basis so that the problems encountered in the development schemes could be rectified immediately and the speed of work, as well as quality, could be improved.

اجلاس میں جنوبی پنجاب سیکرٹریٹ کے محکموں کے سیکرٹریوں نے شرکت کی۔ سکریٹری منصوبہ بندی و ترقی شعیب اقبال سید نے جنوبی پنجاب میں جاری سالانہ ترقیاتی پروگرام کی پیشرفت سے آگاہ کیا۔

بعد میں ، متعلقہ محکمہ کے سکریٹری نے براہ راست ایس ایم ڈی پی پورٹل پر اپنے متعلقہ محکموں کی کارکردگی کا تفصیلی جائزہ لیا۔

محکمہ سی اینڈ ڈبلیو کے سربراہان نے شرکاء کو اپنے متعلقہ محکموں کے تحت جاری اسکیموں پر ہونے والی پیشرفت کے علاوہ صحت ، تعلیم اور دیگر محکموں میں جاری ترقیاتی کاموں سے آگاہ کیا۔

یڈیشنل چیف سکریٹری نے شرکا کو جاری منصوبوں کی بروقت تکمیل کو یقینی بنانے کی ہدایات جاری کیں۔ آہستہ آہستہ اسکیموں کا ایک ایک کرکے جائزہ لیا گیا اور ہدایت کی گئی کہ ان وسائل کو تیز کرنے کے لئے تمام وسائل بروئے کار لائے جائیں۔ محکموں کو ہدایت کی گئی تھی کہ وہ بغیر کسی کوتاہیوں کے پورٹل پر جاری پیش رفت کو باقاعدگی سے اپ ڈیٹ کریں۔

سکریٹری نے مزید ہدایت کی کہ رواں سال کی تکمیل کو یقینی بنانے کے لئے فنڈز کو آہستہ چلنے والی اسکیموں سے فاسٹ ٹریک اسکیموں میں منتقل کیا جائے تاکہ آئندہ سال کے لئے زیادہ سے زیادہ بجٹ نئے ترقیاتی منصوبوں کے لئے مختص کیا جاسکے۔ محکموں کو ہدایت کی گئی کہ وہ اس سال جاری ہونے والے تمام فنڈز کا 100 فیصد استعمال یقینی بنائیں۔

محکموں کے افسران کو خصوصی طور پر ہدایت کی گئی کہ وہ مستقل بنیادوں پر فیلڈ میں جاری اسکیموں کا ذاتی طور پر دورہ کریں تاکہ ترقیاتی سکیموں میں درپیش مسائل کو فوری طور پر بہتر کیا جاسکے اور کام کی رفتار کے ساتھ ساتھ معیار کو بھی بہتر بنایا جاسکے۔
