ABAD welcomes extension in PM's relief package for construction industry

Association of builders and developers Kashif Shaikh talked about the extension and praised it. He was of the view that extension in fixed tax rule up to 31^st December 2021 would help the sector to flourish in a different way and establish roots.

He stated that the rule of not enquiring about the income from purchasers till June 30, 2021, and March, 2023 will help them in making more money and by the end of this period a lot of purchasers would be able to pay taxes which will eventually help the nation and country’s growth. 

Shaikh appreciated PM for this favor and expressed gratitude.

“The deadline of the relief package for the sector was slated for December 31, 2022. However, due to the lockdown and the consequent economic situation, the builders could not start the projects on time,” he observed. “By accepting the demands of ABAD, the PM has given a gift of the new year to the builders and the developers,” Association of Builders and developers VC stated.

Kashif Shaikh said Sindh Government should also automate the process of approving commercial and residential projects like CDA and LDA.

انہوں نے مشاہدہ کیا ، "اس شعبے کے لئے ریلیف پیکیج کی آخری تاریخ 31 دسمبر 2022 کو رکھی گئی تھی۔ تاہم ، لاک ڈاؤن اور اس کے نتیجے میں معاشی صورتحال کے باعث بلڈر منصوبے وقت پر شروع نہیں کرسکے۔" انہوں نے کہا ، "اے بی اے ڈی کے مطالبات کو قبول کرتے ہوئے ، وزیر اعظم نے بلڈروں اور ڈویلپرز کو نئے سال کا تحفہ دیا ہے۔"

شیخ نے کہا کہ سی ڈی اے اور ایل ڈی اے کی طرح سندھ حکومت کو بھی تجارتی اور رہائشی منصوبوں کی منظوری کا نظام خود کار بنانا چاہئے۔
