83 schemes for construction and rehabilitation of police stations approved

The new schemes include the construction of 53 police stations in Punjab including 4 in Lahore. New schemes will be launched in the current financial year with the release of funds of Rs 1.20 billion. The government has approved 83 out of 90 schemes sent by the police for the use of the development budget in the current financial year.

7 police schemes Have been dropped for various reasons.

According to police officials, the new schemes include 53 police stations, residences, offices, and police lines, 4 police stations in Lahore include Hanjarwal, Stokatla, Mughalpura, and Tabi City, as well as 2 additional IGs and 3 SSPs in Lahore.

Out of the development budget of Rs. 320 billion for the current financial year, Rs. 1.20 billion will be spent on new schemes, Rs. 2 billion will be spent on 85 schemes issued in previous years.

The IG Punjab had ordered the construction of large-scale police station buildings this year to provide a good job environment to the employees.
