43 Chinese firms to invest in Gwadar SEZ

According to Zhang Baozhong, the chairman of China Overseas Ports Holding Company, it is the firm that operates Gwadar Port, under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, the first phase of the special economic zone has been completed and in it, 43 Chinese companies will be investing. Additionally, 200 firms have already registered. 

He said that apart from infrastructure and energy projects, different industries which include chemicals, textiles, mobiles, and automobiles will have their set up in Gwadar industrial zone that will give birth to employment opportunities too. 

“Despite the coronavirus pandemic, the pace of work has not slowed down and many CPEC projects have been completed ahead of time,” said Baozhong. He added that after CPEC will be completed, it will be the largest economic hub which will benefit different countries around the world.

He also said that now “Gwadar is operational, CPEC is a great economical project, Pakistan and China and a testament to our friendship, I like Shalwar Kameez as my heart beats for Pakistan.” 

Over the development of the Gwadar port, Attaullah Jogezai, The Managing Director of Gwadar Industrial Estate Development Authority said that the provincial government will give away 20,000 acres of land to the Special Economic Zone. 

“Special security arrangements have been made in and around Gwadar, which has led to peace in Balochistan.” Gwadar Club Chairman Brigadier (retd) Asif Mehmood.

انہوں نے کہا کہ بنیادی ڈھانچے اور توانائی کے منصوبوں کے علاوہ ، مختلف صنعتوں جن میں کیمیکل ، ٹیکسٹائل ، موبائل اور آٹوموبائل شامل ہیں گوادر صنعتی زون میں قائم ہوں گے جو روزگار کے مواقع کو بھی جنم دے گی۔

بازوونگ نے کہا ، "کورونا وائرس وبائی بیماری کے باوجود ، کام کی رفتار کم نہیں ہوئی ہے اور سی پی ای سی کے بہت سے منصوبے وقت سے پہلے ہی مکمل ہو چکے ہیں۔" انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ سی پی ای سی کی تکمیل کے بعد ، یہ سب سے بڑا معاشی مرکز ہوگا جس سے دنیا بھر کے مختلف ممالک کو فائدہ ہوگا۔

انہوں نے یہ بھی کہا کہ اب "گوادر آپریشنل ہے ، سی پی ای سی ایک بہت بڑا اقتصادی منصوبہ ہے ، پاکستان اور چین اور ہماری دوستی کا ثبوت ہے ، میں شلوار قمیض کو پسند کرتا ہوں کیونکہ پاکستان کے لئے میرا دل دھڑک رہا ہے۔"

گوادر بندرگاہ کی ترقی کے دوران ، گوادر انڈسٹریل اسٹیٹ ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹی کے منیجنگ ڈائریکٹر عطا اللہ جوگزئی نے کہا کہ صوبائی حکومت خصوصی اقتصادی زون کو بیس ہزار ایکڑ اراضی دے گی۔

"گوادر اور اس کے آس پاس کے سیکیورٹی کے خصوصی انتظامات کیے گئے ہیں ، جس کی وجہ سے بلوچستان میں امن قائم ہوا ہے۔" گوادر کلب کے چیئرمین بریگیڈیئر (ر) آصف محمود۔
