MDA, in a recent action against defaulters, sealed 40 properties including commercial properties.
Multan: According to the news sources, the Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department sealed as much as 40 properties in Multan under the ongoing drive against defaulters.
The commercial properties sealed belonged to defaulters who had been delaying payment of taxes for the last five years. Revealing the details, inspector in-charge Ehsan Khan Saddozai mentioned that the officials sealed Hindu properties No.1 to No. 8 who owe PKR 4 million to PKR 8 million to the Multan Development Authority (MDA). Zakaria Shopping Center at Hussain Agahi was also among the properties sealed by the authority.
Ehsan Khan also made it extremely clear that the operation against defaulters would continue and the department would seal properties, arrest defaulters, and attach their properties for the recovery of taxes.
