38-km-long Rawalpindi Ring Road project to begin by August 2021

She said that audit irregularity detected in the previous plan of the project by the audit department and the inquiry of anti-corruption was in the last stages, and once completed would be shared with the public.

She was addressing a press conference at Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) offices. RDA Chairman Tariq Murtaza, Vice Chairman Haroon Hashmi, and RDA Director General Nadeem Ahmed Abro were also present on the occasion.

She said the Punjab government had given approval to the new PC-I of the Rawalpindi Ring Road project as it was meant to lessen the traffic rush on the city roads.

She said that Punjab and federal governments were committed to the public and for this purpose, PTI was moving towards institutional reforms to make them stronger because only powerful institutions can achieve excellence in quality public service delivery. Dr Firdous said that crackdown had been carried out on illegal stone crushing in Hasanabdal. The activity is causing environmental problems.

Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said RDA had been taken out of the deficit and the institution saved Rs1 billion in two years. She said now RDA was moving towards the establishment of housing societies for citizens.

She said that 62 housing societies had been approved, 60 were in the process of being approved and 264 were declared illegal by the RDA.

She said the RDA had registered 112 FIRs against illegal housing societies, besides issuing 307 legal notices to them and sealing 135 offices. She said that most of the victims of fake societies were overseas Pakistanis who had been given a mechanism to avoid fraud.

They can ascertain legal and approved housing societies from the data RDA has uploaded on its website, she said.

Dr. Awan said that Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority was informed about the details of illegal housing societies so that such societies could not advertise themselves. She said RDA had approved 1,300 maps in a year. She said that for the first time in the history of the country, three underpasses are being constructed at Ammar Chowk, Katchery Chowk, and Defense Chowk.

Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan said that action was being taken against corrupt officials. She said the bomb blast in Lahore should not be linked to any speculation. She said the Punjab Chief Minister had announced Rs100,000 for minor injuries, Rs500,000 for serious injuries, and Rs1 million for those who died in the blast.

راولپنڈی: خبررساں ذرائع کے مطابق وزیراعلیٰ پنجاب کے معاون خصوصی برائے اطلاعات ڈاکٹر فردوس عاشق اعوان نے کہا کہ جی ٹی سے 38 کلومیٹر طویل راولپنڈی رنگ روڈ منصوبہ۔ موٹر وے کے قریب روڈ ٹو تھولیاں کو منظوری دے دی گئی تھی اور اس اہم منصوبے پر اگست تک کام شروع کردیا جائے گا۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ آڈٹ ڈیپارٹمنٹ کے ذریعہ پروجیکٹ کے پچھلے منصوبے میں آڈٹ میں بے ضابطگیوں کا پتہ چلا اور انسداد بدعنوانی کی انکوائری آخری مراحل میں ہے ، اور ایک بار مکمل ہونے پر اسے عوام کے ساتھ بانٹ دیا جائے گا۔
وہ راولپنڈی ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹی (آر ڈی اے) کے دفاتر میں پریس کانفرنس سے خطاب کر رہی تھیں۔ اس موقع پر آر ڈی اے چیئرمین طارق مرتضیٰ ، وائس چیئرمین ہارون ہاشمی اور آر ڈی اے کے ڈائریکٹر جنرل ندیم احمد ابڑو بھی موجود تھے۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ حکومت پنجاب نے راولپنڈی رنگ روڈ منصوبے کے نئے پی سی ون کو منظوری دے دی ہے کیونکہ اس کا مقصد شہر کی سڑکوں پر ٹریفک کا رش کم کرنا تھا۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ پنجاب اور وفاقی حکومتیں عوام کے لئے پرعزم ہیں اور اسی مقصد کے لئے تحریک انصاف انہیں مستحکم بنانے کے لئے ادارہ جاتی اصلاحات کی طرف گامزن ہے کیونکہ صرف طاقتور ادارے معیاری عوامی خدمت کی فراہمی میں عمدگی حاصل کرسکتے ہیں۔ ڈاکٹر فردوس نے بتایا کہ حسن بدال میں غیر قانونی پتھر کچلنے پر کریک ڈاؤن کیا گیا تھا۔ اس سرگرمی سے ماحولیاتی مسائل پیدا ہو رہے ہیں۔
ڈاکٹر فردوس عاشق اعوان نے کہا کہ آر ڈی اے کو خسارے سے نکال لیا گیا ہے اور اس ادارے نے دو سالوں میں ایک ارب روپے کی بچت کی۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ اب آر ڈی اے شہریوں کے لئے ہاؤسنگ سوسائٹیوں کے قیام کی طرف گامزن ہے۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ 62 ہاؤسنگ سوسائٹیوں کو منظوری دے دی گئی ہے ، 60 منظوری کے عمل میں ہیں اور آر ڈی اے نے 264 کو غیر قانونی قرار دے دیا ہے۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ آر ڈی اے نے غیر قانونی ہاؤسنگ سوسائٹیوں کے خلاف 112 ایف آئی آر درج کی ہیں ، اس کے علاوہ انہیں 307 قانونی نوٹسز جاری کرنے اور 135 دفاتر سیل کردیئے گئے ہیں۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ جعلی معاشروں کے بیشتر متاثرین بیرون ملک مقیم پاکستانی ہیں جنھیں دھوکہ دہی سے بچنے کے لئے ایک طریقہ کار دیا گیا تھا۔
انہوں نے کہا ، آر ڈی اے نے اپنی ویب سائٹ پر اپ لوڈ کردہ ڈیٹا سے وہ قانونی اور منظور شدہ ہاؤسنگ سوسائٹیوں کا پتہ لگاسکتے ہیں۔
ڈاکٹر اعوان نے کہا کہ پاکستان الیکٹرانک میڈیا ریگولیٹری اتھارٹی کو غیر قانونی ہاؤسنگ سوسائٹیوں کی تفصیلات سے آگاہ کیا گیا تھا تاکہ ایسی سوسائٹی خود تشہیر نہ کرسکیں۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ آر ڈی اے نے ایک سال میں 1،300 نقشے کی منظوری دے دی ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ ملکی تاریخ میں پہلی بار عمار چوک ، کچری چوک اور ڈیفنس چوک میں تین انڈر پاس تعمیر کیے جارہے ہیں۔
ڈاکٹر فردوس عاشق اعوان نے کہا کہ کرپٹ عہدیداروں کے خلاف کارروائی کی جارہی ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ لاہور میں ہونے والے بم دھماکے کو کسی قیاس آرائی سے نہیں جوڑنا چاہئے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ وزیر اعلی پنجاب نے معمولی زخمی ہونے کے لئے 100،000 روپے ، شدید زخمیوں کے لئے 500000 روپے اور دھماکے میں جاں بحق ہونے والوں کے لئے 10 لاکھ روپے دینے کا اعلان کیا ہے۔
