‘28,000 acres capital land illegally occupied

According to the news sources, Islamabad Deputy Commissioner Hamza Shafqat told a Senate standing committee on Monday that the government has not been able to take back the possession of 28,000 acres of land, which was under illegal and adverse occupation, despite its retrieval.

According to the details, “The 28,000 acres of land has been retrieved but due to various reasons, the government has not been able to take over its possession.

Members of the National Assembly are carrying out developmental works from the SDGs’ funds on these lands,” the Islamabad deputy commissioner told a meeting of the Senate Standing Committee on Housing and Construction held under the chair of Senator Haji Hidayatullah Khan. The committee discussed the issue of development work and provision of facilities to illegal occupants in Sector G-14/1 Islamabad.

نیوز ذرائع کے مطابق اسلام آباد کے ڈپٹی کمشنر حمزہ شفقت نے پیر کو سینیٹ کی قائمہ کمیٹی کو بتایا کہ حکومت کی طرف سے واپس لینے کے باوجود 28 ہزار ایکڑ اراضی جو کہ غیر قانونی اور ناجائز قبضے میں تھی واپس نہیں لے سکی۔
تفصیلات کے مطابق 28 ہزار ایکڑ اراضی واگزار کرا لی گئی ہے لیکن مختلف وجوہات کی بنا پر حکومت اس کا قبضہ حاصل نہیں کر سکی۔
اراکین قومی اسمبلی ان زمینوں پر ایس ڈی جیز کے فنڈز سے ترقیاتی کام کر رہے ہیں،" اسلام آباد کے ڈپٹی کمشنر نے سینیٹر حاجی ہدایت اللہ خان کی زیر صدارت سینیٹ کی قائمہ کمیٹی برائے ہاؤسنگ و تعمیرات کے اجلاس کو بتایا۔ کمیٹی نے اسلام آباد کے سیکٹر (جی-14/1) میں ترقیاتی کاموں اور غیر قانونی قابضین کو سہولیات کی فراہمی کے معاملے پر تبادلہ خیال کیا۔
