118 illegal cabins demolished in Board Bazaar Peshawar

The District Administration in collaboration with Pakistan Railways Wednesday took action against encroachment on Railways' land and demolished 118 illegally installed cabins and other constructions in board Bazar here while seven saboteurs were held over resistance.

According to the spokesman of the Deputy Commissioner Officer, the encroachers were issued several notices to vacate the land and remove their installations but they paid no attention, forcing the District Administration and Pakistan Railways to take action.

He said that during the operation heavy contingent of local and Railways' police and officials of both the district government and Railways were present to cope with any untoward situation, adding that after the removal of encroachment the land was handed over to PR administration to stop any illegal construction or installation in future.

ضلعی انتظامیہ نے پاکستان ریلوے کے تعاون سے بدھ کو ریلوے کی زمین پر تجاوزات کے خلاف کارروائی کی اور یہاں بورڈ بازار میں 118 غیر قانونی طور پر نصب کیبن اور دیگر تعمیرات کو مسمار کر دیا جبکہ سات تخریب کاروں کو مزاحمت پر گرفتار کیا گیا۔

ترجمان ڈپٹی کمشنر آفیسر کے مطابق تجاوزات کرنے والوں کو زمین خالی کرنے اور ان کی تنصیبات ہٹانے کے لیے کئی نوٹس جاری کیے گئے لیکن انہوں نے کوئی توجہ نہیں دی ، ضلعی انتظامیہ اور پاکستان ریلوے کو کارروائی کرنے پر مجبور کیا گیا۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ آپریشن کے دوران مقامی اور ریلوے پولیس کی بھاری نفری اور ضلعی حکومت اور ریلوے کے افسران کسی بھی ناخوشگوار صورتحال سے نمٹنے کے لیے موجود تھے ، انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ تجاوزات ہٹانے کے بعد زمین کسی بھی غیر قانونی کو روکنے کے لیے پی آر انتظامیہ کے حوالے کردی گئی۔
