110 schools to be constructed in Cholistan

Following the directives given by Chief Minister Punjab, Hamza Shahbaz Sharif, the Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) has taken the initiative to construct 110 new schools within the Cholistan region of the Bahawalpur Division. This decision was unearthed during a meeting that was held with the Managing Director, Cholistan Development Authority, Mahar Khalid, and chaired at the CDA office in Bahawalpur. 

During the meeting, it was also revealed that around 140 schools were currently functional across the Cholistan desert region. This number includes both the 109 Cholistan community schools as well as the 31 Cholistan mobile schools present in the region. After the timely completion of the new schools, this number will be increased up to a total of 179 community schools, and a total of 71 mobile schools located within the region.

This decision has been taken to improve the literacy rate within the region and to create job opportunities within the region.

وزیر اعلیٰ پنجاب حمزہ شہباز شریف کی ہدایت پر پنجاب ایجوکیشن فاؤنڈیشن (PEF) نے بہاولپور ڈویژن کے چولستان ریجن میں 110 نئے سکولوں کی تعمیر کا بیڑا اٹھایا ہے۔ اس فیصلے کا انکشاف ایک اجلاس کے دوران کیا گیا جو کہ منیجنگ ڈائریکٹر چولستان ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹی مہر خالد کے ساتھ سی ڈی اے آفس بہاولپور میں منعقد ہوئی۔
اجلاس کے دوران یہ بات بھی سامنے آئی کہ چولستان کے صحرائی علاقے میں اس وقت 140 کے قریب سکول کام کر رہے ہیں۔ اس تعداد میں چولستان کے 109 کمیونٹی اسکولوں کے ساتھ ساتھ خطے میں موجود 31 چولستان کے موبائل اسکول بھی شامل ہیں۔ نئے اسکولوں کی بروقت تکمیل کے بعد، یہ تعداد مجموعی طور پر 179 کمیونٹی اسکولوں اور خطے کے اندر واقع کل 71 موبائل اسکولوں تک بڑھ جائے گی۔
یہ فیصلہ خطے کے اندر شرح خواندگی کو بہتر بنانے اور علاقے کے اندر روزگار کے مواقع پیدا کرنے کے لیے کیا گیا ہے۔
