First Project of CPEC, Pak-China Technical and Vocational Institute Launched in Gwadar

PURPOSE OF PAK-CHINA TECHNICAL AND VOCATIONAL INSTITUTE AT GWADAR

This state-of-the-art institute will not only provide free accommodation to the faculty and students but will also provide scholarships to Pak-China Institute students. The trained youngsters would have excellent career chances at Gwadar Port, the Free Zone Industry, and other CPEC projects.
LOCATION
The institute represents 70 years of friendship between Pakistan and China. The institute, which is part of CPEC, was finished in under 20 months and is located in Gwadar District, Balochistan. Built at a cost of $10 million.
OVERVIEW OF THE PROJECT PROGRESS
For the establishment of this institute, GPA purchased 18 acres of land and infrastructure from the old Gwadar Degree College. The China International Engineering Company completed an onsite feasibility study for the project in January 2017.
- On August 9, 2017, the Chinese side signed the minutes of the onsite feasibility study.
- In April 2018, EAD and MOFCOM signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
- On March 29th, 2019, implementation minutes were signed.
- On December 16th, 2019, the groundbreaking ceremony took place.
- On January 10, 2020, the building began.
- On September 20, 2021, Inaugurated and starts its working
SKILLS OFFERED AT PAK-CHINA VOCATIONAL AND TECHNICAL INSTITUTE GWADAR
