Islamabad on the other hand is known for the peace and tranquility surrounding it. The city is surrounded by forests and hills. Within the city reside some of the most famous landmarks located in the country such as the Faisal Mosque, which is the largest mosque in South Asia.

Traffic and Population

Lahore’s fast-paced lifestyle has to take a step back due to its ever-increasing population. People from different, less developed cities or rural areas tend to move to bigger cities since they offer a variety of opportunities. However, this also cramps up the city, but to combat this, several signal-free corridors and flyovers have been built in Lahore. The development and construction subjected to the road sector have given the city of Lahore an extensive and well-built road structure.

Islamabad on the other hand is the exact opposite. The city offers a much more calm and peaceful life offering tranquility and scenic views.

This means that moving to Lahore would be a safer investment for your future due to its busy lifestyle that churns countless opportunities.

Cleanliness and Pollution

This is the one category where both the cities suffer immensely because of their increasing population and lack of awareness.

Lahore has been labeled as the world’s most polluted place multiple times in the past. Last winter, the unprecedented amount of smog in the city was unmatched. Islamabad, however, hasn’t suffered as bad since the excessive amount of greenery and trees help control the air pollution.

Land pollution is also a massive problem in both the cities but Islamabad being the capital city is thoroughly maintained which helps control the pollution. Lahore on the other hand does not receive this special treatment, and with the population constantly littering and no proper waste management, the city remains dirty.

Conclusion

In the end, it depends upon your needs and wants, as well as the future goals that will help you in deciding whether Lahore or Islamabad accommodates your needs better!
